Same here. It's really simple just do the D15 and you are good to go.
I don't thin D15 is approved with FAA though....

Re: Are things worse than post 9/11?
Not as bad. Low times still finding jobs. Had two offers for flying jobs in the past 2 weeks and I don't even have 1000hrs yet. Poeple still need to move around this country and it's not going to stop tomorrow.

Re: Examens CQFA

You are part of Canada, Canada is bilingual, then be prepared to speak French in a bilingual province or a French province. Why should Roger the PPL learn to speak English for you, when you fly in Quebec? You are the Commercial Pilot, the one earning money to fly. You should be the one doing the Pr...

Re: Speaking French on the radio
And why would trying to preserve our french services in quebec be a disservice ? Because this is an aviation forum and your attitude may be seen by some here as being elitist and arrogant because of the way you explained why you use French. Quote: Simple. Because we can. Having been in management i...

Re: Speaking French on the radio
ticasse, there is a difference between trying to preserve French and being a liability for yourself and your fellow aviators. When you fly, speak English on the radio. If you need to speak French (in an MF, trying to deconflict with some other French private out there), then do so. Do you think Luf...

Re: Speaking French on the radio
Simple. Because we can. I switch to french as soon as I cross the ottawa river. I do it for the same reason I choose "french" whenever I use an ATM machine, when I call the FSS, when I buy a DVD, when being given company training/manuals or when I fly as a pax on Air Canada. Yes I do understand jus...

Re: Speaking French on the radio
My point is, however that if a pilot is fluent in English, why do they choose to speak French on the radio. Simple. Because we can. I switch to french as soon as I cross the ottawa river. I do it for the same reason I choose "french" whenever I use an ATM machine, when I call the FSS, when I buy a ...

Re: Speaking French on the radio
What? You're a pilot, can't you learn a few lines of french ? Learning a few lines of French will not make one able to understand the language. And I am a pilot who does not speak French, does that somehow make me an inferior pilot? What would you do ticass if you flew in all the countries we fly i...

What? You're a pilot, can't you learn a few lines of french ? Is it too hard for you ? Took me 2 days to get used to do english coms when I flew in Alberta during 3 months.

Re: training at SATC and/or fly right
Went to fly right once to rent an aircraft. The lady there was so rude I got out of there pretty fast. I think she didn't like my accent. Their rates were also higher than SATC. SATC looked like a friendly place and well organised school. Never actually trained in any of them just my impressions.
