Frustrating isn't it Pelmet? Three guys don't get what you're saying.
I agree though, when you have a dud engine better make sure your approach is planned 100%

Re: What The......North Star
Jimmy2 what are you talking about?
Everything you said is BS. It's right in their ad FFS.
PC12 pilots - Thunder Bay
New base managers are for YTH and YMO.
PRM is Thunder bay based.
Jesus F, learn to read a-hole.

What The......North Star
What is happening at North Star!!??
They get bought by Northern Store. Buy 2 more Baslers, ATR72s on the way (there's talk of jets) and now have a wicked schedule for their PC12s.
What next? They gonna paint their planes.

Re: PPC/PCC
TC may be imposing that FO's on singles need a PPC based on CASS 723.88(2). This one: NOTE: Pilots flying single-engine IFR with passenger or night VFR with passenger require a PPC. (amended 1998/06/01; no previous version) (b) for pilots flying as second-in-command on multi-engined aeroplanes opera...

Re: Perimeter Sanny accident report
One thing I noticed in this report was that there was a lot of discussion of Human Factors and the role in the crash. One Human Factor not discussed was the length of the flight itself. As a 15000 hour pilot I can tell you length of flight plays a big part in a pilot's decision making, and the pilot...

Re: WestJet Pilots and Flight Attendants Race to Unionize
If the WestJet Pilots Association is effective then don't unionize. Even if it's marginally effective don't unionize. Also don't expect ALPA or any other union make a real difference compared to your Association. All you'll see is 1.95% of your wage gone. For the guy that made $310,000 thats $6000 p...

Hmmmmm..........if AMEs have seen this why has a SDR (Service Difficulty Report) not been filed?????????????
This issue seems rather airworthiness related to me, I'm sure Beechcraft would like to know this happens.

Re: Can anyone identify this aircraft model ?
What a beautiful plane the Stinson Reliant is.
There used to be one at the Brampton Flying Club a while ago. Owned by an old AC Captain, Neil MacDonald(??).
This plane ranks in elegance up there with Beech Staggerwings and Cessna 195s.

I think razorblade hit it on the nail.
There have been many cancellations at other airports because of OAT being less than LOUT.

Re: Dash-8 question
linecrew, I find that unlikely. For the Dash 8'ers out there, I'm sure most are aware of FARPIN and LOSER. That is an acronym for hydraulic systems powered by an engine. Unless the #2 SPU was activated taxiing with #1 shut down means you have no "Normal" brakes (the N in FARPIN). Guess the SPU could...

Re: "PUBLIC INTEREST" and how it pertains to Transport Canad
PUBLIC INTEREST is supposed to mean the exemption to a CAR can't give an unfair advantage over a competitor. This is subjective, and a competitor may not know an exemption has even been granted. I'm not sure if exemptions are searchable in ATIPs but they should be. I recently heard of a new 705 star...
