Re: selection cqfa

Re: Satellite ads-b vs terrestrial?

You say useless for airborne use... How about a tablet with some moving map thrown in the mix? (No idea if suitable software exists yet.) Not a certified solution, but certainly no worse than those tiny LCD Zaon boxes. I don't want to highjack the thread, but I figure this might interest you as well...

Re: Best cell phones for remote and countrywide use

I'm also active on Howardforums, which is a Canadian based forum with just about every bit of info you could want about plans, contracts and devices. I recall one fellow quoting Rogers as the "not that far East network" in a town with "Bellus" coverage only. (Bell and Telus jointly built their curre...

Looks like a startup, found this: http://www.pilotcareercentre.com/Pilot- ... Bleuet+inc.

The website only had a placeholder logo with a QR code that would lead you right back to the same page.

My old software was written with a database software called Filepro16Plus. It still runs fine on an old Windows 98 based laptop I have at home, but nothing else will. Ever though of setting up a virtual machine on whatever other computer you're using right now? Here's the Excel file I use. Not nece...

Re: TC Gobledegook - please translate

I wonder how I ended up with "operational" in the first place - I've never been tested. That's odd. All the information I recall seeing back then was to the effect everyone would be grandfathered to level 6 of the language you had on file for correspondence at TC. Those wanting the other language a...

Re: Quarter life crisis

Finish the degree. Feel free to start on your PPL in the meantime. Pursue your research on the challenges you'll be facing and how aviation is not all sunshine and big sunglasses. In case aviation doesn't work out, you'll have a degree that'll likely come in handy. Aviation diplomas don't mean much ...

Re: Can you file VFR flight plans online and if so, how ?

BEFAN5: It's all in the templates IMO. I don't remember there being a limit as to how many you can create, and you can sort them as well. That's in addition to extra sorting you can do with the template names if you've got a consistent pattern. My understanding is that the updates can only be done o...

Try sending a PM to Rudder Bug, I'm pretty sure that if he can't do it himself he'll be able to point you in the right direction.

Some clues there: http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/civilaviation/regserv/cars/part4-standards-t42402-1412.htm As Krimson said, asthma and allergies should be ok. What you want to check with your CAME is how those are treated. In the case of migraines, it seems to depend on their severity and so on. A CAME mi...

Re: PA31-350 Ground School

Hey x15, Bit of a thread resurrect but the 4shared hosting now asks for some registration in order to download the file. In my experience Mediafire doesn't, among others. Also, for hosting the file and adding some sort of version control mechanism, Github could be one way to do it, unless someone kn...
