Can anyone offer pros/cons of Porter vs. PAL Airlines on the Q400 based in YHZ?

Wondering what the approximate net pay (after tax) to expect as a first year Q400 captain. Also wondering if it's possible to negotiate starting higher up on the scale than year 1 as a new hire without a type rating (I've done this before outside of the aviation industry).

What health benefits are offered to pilots at Porter (life insurance/disability; dental …)? Do the pilots pay a portion of the coverage?

Hi, I’ve seen the pay scale posted on this site showing the hourly rates of pay. Should the average new hire (flying the Q from yhz) expect any more than 80 hours per month? I’m trying to get a feel for what to expect as a net income during the first year. Thanks
