Stop comparing pilots to whores
Why do you people continue to compare pilots to whores in accepting low pay jobs? I simply don't see the similarities. 1) Whores do not just lower their price because there is a lack of work. You ever try and low ball a whore on a slow night? Ha,ha,ha,ha...get very far? A pilot on the other hand.......

Re: bye bye Bush hawk
I considered the Expedition but chose the turbo 206 for several reasons. A fairly new turbo 206 can be bought for around $275,000 with low time engine / airframe, a fair range of avionics as standard including autopilot and 5 seats plus pilot. The Expedition is 10 kts faster with the same fuel burn ...

Re: Ideal job for DOM?
4000 people in town, 2 hour drive to normal shopping (Canadian Tire, Walmart...)...The usual; good fishing/hunting, no opera or shopping malls. Attractive to guys, but not so much for family members / spouse. Similar to LaRonge but nicer and not so many drunks on the street here.

Ideal job for DOM?
For those currently working as DOM, what would it take for you to resign from your current employer for a DOM position at a northern air operator based in a small, fairly isolated town? Lets say you are fairly compensated and treated well where you are now, and generally satisfied. Is there anything...
