Re: Laser beam hits WestJet pilot in the eye on Calgary takeoff

Here is a CBC report on the issue. It talks about what kind of laser's are being used. Sorry it did not mention if it was Air Canada or Westjet pilot's that were causing the problem, or shooting the laser's Real Media: http://www.cbc.ca/clips/rm-hi/wood-laser-081112.rm Quicktime: http://www.cbc.ca/c...

endless while this is a sensitive issue for some. I would expect better from you. Name-calling and sarcasm is the last way to get your point across. After reading your retort you offer some valuable points, but null it by your opening remarks.

Re: YYC cancellations

Yea i've seen fog happen quite often. Same with YXD being VFR while YEG is down to mins in fog. I havn't seen it happen with snow very often though. And now after it was cleared up for several hours it's a blizzard outside again! I love Alberta! Ironic you should say that. Canadian North landed one...

Re: Gov of Can to Improve Pilot Safety in Jasper National Park

This is not good news at all! If people have not been reading that is a sensitive elk crossing area. Those 6 sq. km of land will have devastating effects for a very long time. I mean how will the elks only get by with only 10,878 sq. km of park space left? Sorry let me correct that only 10,872 sq. k...

Re: Hangar 15 at CYXD

That does not make any sense. Why would you sell that property if you wanted to close it? You would want to own all the properties so there would be little opposition. It would only add to the fight against the ERAA to try and suggest to close YXD by selling it to other parties. The ERAA has no auth...

Have any of you actually been to YEG nowadays? The apron is very full after 2200. Something like 25- 30 AC overnighting. AC does a non- stop to London, with Transat right behind them. There are seasonal AC and Westjet flights to the Carribean / Cuba all winter. If the short sighted, " lets keep the...

Wow TAT you must know everything about the north. Dumb ol' Canadian North should call you before they do anything. Why don't you e-mail them and let them know, or maybe you may want to research a topic before making a uninformed statement.

Canada Post not playing nice....

It seems Canada Post wasn't being fair when it awarded it's contract to First Air. Now it's been caught and told to pay or do it again. Ottawa, Ontario, February 6, 2007 - The Canadian International Trade Tribunal issued a determination following its inquiry into a complaint by Canadian North Inc. (...

Two more Boeings possible for Canadian North

Was told yesterday that Canadian is looking for another 737-200 as of right now, and that they are still planning to introduce a 737-300 as of May or June. It sounds like they are required for their charter side. It looked as the charter side has gotten very busy as of late. Haven't had confirmation...

1968 Mustang

This is a question to you Mustang enthusiast. Do you know if any 1968 models had a 427 cid 4v V-8. I know it was the only year it was available. I have searched for on the net, but can't find if any were delivered from the factory as such. Just wondering if anybody knows? Thanks

I saw 5T's F-100 the other day in YYC. Do they have just the one or are the others. I guess it is operational since it was at the terminal. Nice looking paint job. Has anybody been on it yet? It was sure a lot quieter then the F-28. Is 5T still flying the F-28 or is it done? I ask because it was sti...

No not in the near future. Because of "expected" rapid growth the need for quick upgrades requires pilots to be of a fairly high experience level.
