Re: Farm kid in the army.

I don't understand all the anti-war hippy type enviro mother earth loving, anti population types. On the one hand they say the world is overcrowded and should only have a population of about 100,000 or million or whatever. Then in the next breath are all anti-war, make love not war pot smoking hippi...

Re: NTSB TO HOLD A PUBLIC FORUM ON PROFESSIONALISM IN AVIATI

The NTSB should be able to solve the professionalism dilemma very easily.

You pay a professional salary, you hire a professional pilot.
You pay a MacDonalds salary and you hire a MacDonalds pilot.

Re: in light of mikasew...

Another matter of interest. I originally appointed the Chief engineer of my contract maintenance contractor as my director of maintenance, but TCa disallowed it as it was percieved as a conflict of interest. Wouldn't it seem an owner as DOM would more likely be the one with the conflict of interest?

I was a 703 operator with three airplanes. I was owner, Accountable executive, Ops manager, Directer of maintenance, Chief pilot, one of three pilots and I even washed the planes once in awhile.

Re: Best headset for flight training??

I have DC as well as Peltor.
I have flown with the Peltors for 10 years because they reduce noise levels better than DC.
I fly in a 80 to 90 decibel noise level aircraft in cruise and over 100 db in climb.
Also much cheaper to purchase than DC

I heard the Borek Twin that is working the contract thru Harbour Air ran out of gas.......weird No, Two twotters met at Toba. One from the NW and one with a load of workers for Toba from am9. Only room for one on the dock so the loaded one got the dock and the other shut down adrift. Then they chan...

I have both David Clark and Peltor headsets and have taken them both on the Beaver at the same time. After Alternating between the two, the Peltor are definitly the quieter of the two. I have been using my peltors for ten years now and the DC's are in a cupboard collecting dust somewhere. The peltor...
