Re: AC in SFO. Again...
How do you know? People on this forum are big on making absolute statements of fact on matters where in all likelihood they don't have access to any factual information. And if they do have access to that information, they probably shouldn't be commenting about it on a forum such as this. Your supp...

Re: YYT CATIII
Canada calls No DH and 600 rvr Cat IIIa, but ICAO would call it CAT IIIb as it is less than 700 rvr. Bottom line is that earlier someone said you need a 50 DH minimum in Canada which you do not.

Re: YYT CATIII
0 DH is what I was getting at. Sure you need 600 rvr that's what the "not authorized" on the chart means, but really how often does that happen. Besides the wind in YYT is beyond the autoland capabilities when you need it anyways!

Re: YYT CATIII
YYZ YYC YYT YVR all have CAT 3 approaches. If you are certified for CAT 3b then you can do it. Canada does not ban 3b. I have no idea where that came from. You need 600 rvr no DH.

In Canada CAT 3b approaches are most definitely authorized if the aircraft and crew and airport are.

Re: new 2 crew member rule
What about the people on the ground when the rogue crazy pilot on a freighter or on a jet repositioning with 1 other pilot locks himself in and turns the jet into an air to ground missile and targets a major city downtown core? Probably the same reason that cargo operators are exempt from the new F...

Re: Kelowna Flightcraft moving to YYZ
Cargojet made the same mistake with the 767's that ACE did with the DC-10's- in thinking it would be simpler (and therefore less expensive and less time consuming) than it actually was. Then they lost their original primary customer for that aircraft and very nearly went bankrupt Which customer did...

Wind chill has no effect on equipment. It's funny how all the equipment works ok in the rest of Canada on a normal -30 degree night.

Would any of you anal rocket scientists please tell me why offering extra information (that takes 2 seconds to say) is a bad thing? I couldn't even begin to list all of the incorrect radio calls and procedures I see every day.

If you are not able to sustain your company without operating in an illegal manner, possibly forcing law abiding ones out of business, then you don't deserve to be in business.
