Re: Helicopter Training Links
Hey,
Does anyone know of any schools in Ontario, (preferably close to Toronto) that offers training on something other then R22?
According to one schools site I weigh to much to train on it.
This would be for a commercial licence with no fixed wing licence.

Re: Ornge Pilot Pay vs. Medics Pay
I am just curious where Doc and Cat and other people who say pilots shouldnt be accepting these low paying jobs found their first jobs? And how they got their foot in the door in order to move up to the wages and status they have now.

Re: Becoming an AME
thank you all for your help and replies. I was hoping to get a job as an apprentice in order to still be able to survive as well as continue to get my PPL. And i would then work as an AME until i can get my CPL and hired as a pilot in a decently paid position. But it seems that may not be realistic....

Becoming an AME
Hi, Ok this is going to come right out of left field. But i have a quick question. What are the chances someone with little piloting experience and absolutely no mechanical experience to become a Aircraft Mechanic. Without going to school. I am willing to become a apprentice for a few years but don'...

Re: What are you paying for a 172 right now
Cessna 172 Dual $212 / Solo $154. Both would be wet, no fuel charge. Not really necessary by the comparison so far.
Thats before taxes as well. In Toronto Ontario.

Re: Let me reask my question
Ok that all makes sense. But what if you are sightseeing random people around in a 172 and are using the standard weight for them causing you to be over and something happens? How can the insurance company say your at fault when you are just doing what TC says you can. I understand if the people sho...

Re: How do I really calculate gross weight??
Thank you. I was just curious, as i never ask for more fuel. The school seems to have a rule that if both tanks are lower then half they top them up, if one is slightly low of half its ok. I am not sure why they do it this way, i assume its because they dont actually check into seeing what the next ...

3. I have read and done my own studying on various things in order to make my lessons easier and more productive. In my reading i have seen that you have to readjust your heading indicator every 15 mins or so due to drift. Yes you do this but the reason is incorrect. You reset your heading indicato...

Couple student questions
Hi, this site is awesome. The amount of knowledge and everyone's willingness to help is refreshing. I have a couple questions, some general some specific. I am still on my private lessons but just looking forward. 1. First is the hours you spend getting your PPL and other endorsements (night, multi)...

Re: Instructor positions at CYTZ (toronto island)?
What do you think of attending the school as a student? i was planning on attending due to the proximaty to downtown and the other school on the island did not seem as good. I would appreciate your input as you used to teach there.
