I file IFR fp regularly in Canada using ForeFlight. Fast and has worked well so far!

Did you end up finding a school? Like most have mentioned on here, it's not always about the choice of school, but the instructor you're working with. Good for you Loopa! A great demonstration of going out there and pursuing your dreams. I hope this inspires more pilots to hang in there at the beginning of their careers as a Commercial Pilot. Things will turn around; it's a matter of time and perseverance.

"The Advanced Pilot's Flight Manual" is excellent, I wish someone introduced it to me during my commercial license. "Air Command Weather Manual" is great for advancing your weather knowledge particularly in IFR flying. there are a couple others, but I don't have them with me right now..... Good Luck...

In my opinion ZBB is a great airport to learn how to fly. Your are starting in a relatively busy atc controlled environment so you quickly become familiar and comfortable with radio calls etc. There a plently of flying schools to choose from I suggest you take a walk around, visit each one and go to...
