So management is saying maintenance is already overpaid per industry standard, and maintenance wants 20% minimum increase because the pilots won with there contract. Where does this end ? Will there be a work stoppage with Westjet maintenance ?

Very true , a lot of the work done out of these third world shops is garbage , do you think a bean counter cares ? All that matters is numbers , if on paper doing these checks in the third world , where most of the people actually doing work on the plane cannot read a maintenance manual, saves money...

Agreed !!! And how long is it till our heavy maint goes third world ? This has to be the biggest cost savings ! Have the SMV's done in Central America , compared to here , this has to be the biggest most obvious way to save big $$$$$ , stock price up !!!!!!!!!
