i heard they're using either a jetstream or metro. Don't worry they'll soon fail and more people will get laid off.
As far as the previous service, I have no idea but am curious.

Re: Slowdown
Beast, I work for myself and therefore earn my income based on my ability to produce using the mechanism of my enterprise. I do ok. My education equipped me to do ok. My training in aviation, both in the drivers seat and in the hanger helped me to acheive that success by giving me the skills. It was...

Re: Slowdown
I have to say Beast that all your protesting suggests that you have a great deal of insecurity with regard to your lack of education. In addition by using your criteria of pay as an indicator of professionalism the average 18 year old high school drop out rig pig is a highly paid professional As far...

Re: Slowdown
Beast, you refer to pilots as highly trained professionals. Delusions of grandeur. A lawyer, Doctor, engineer are highly trained professionals. Anywhere from 6 to 12 years of full time post secondary and internships. Pilot: part time study with some motor skills. Essentially a well trained monkey. T...

Re: Garmin 1000 New Synthetic Vision
I can see why some people might see a potential for issues but more intuitive information easily used can only help the responsible pilot. This is an incredible improvement to situational awareness.

Re: Sunwest Aviation Navajo F/O's
yeah the last post was dead on. Go north, get your time done quick, then go suckle at the teat of the airlines. Sunwest is a dead fish, they are bleeding clients and pilots like they were a hemophiliac.

Re: Porter's hiring!
I flew porter from ytz to yhz last summer. Amazing. Unlike westjet people who give you the "stepford wives" treatment, Porter people really seemed happy and content with their jobs, probably comes from having very happy customers to speak with.

Re: Slowdown
Man I'm no economist but with a huge supply of pilots entering the market, having been laid off as a result of bankruptcy and mergers. Add that to a slowing economy, and hyper inflation in fuel prices, we are not in the best industry. Perhaps I'll be a repo man.
