Re: Pilot agreement ratified

If they follow through on their vision What is the vision ? Nobody will ever tell I guess. It might be a long haul strategy with some shares sold to a Middle East operator like EK buying half of Alitalia and Qantas and other european airlines to expand their network...? Would be cool.[/quote] Wrong...

Re: More expansion! YYZ-AMS, 2x daily YUL/YYZ-CDG, YUL-VCE,

Surely a net gain in summer ASMs with the addition of the new routes and increase in capacity on current routes. YVR-PEK and other such routes in the network being replaced by 787, so perhaps the extra 767 fins being used for new routes.? Let's see what the 2015 summer sched says coming in the next ...

More expansion! YYZ-AMS, 2x daily YUL/YYZ-CDG, YUL-VCE, etc.

Looks consistent with forecasted growth in the international markets.

YYZ-AMS
YYZ&YUL-CDG 2x daily with extral763
more frequency to Bcn, Ath, Vce.

Re: UAE hopefull on more landings to Canada

Bmc, You make reference to KLM, LH, BA drawing from our markets connecting pax. First off, the bilaterals negotiated btwn Canada-Europe are open skies. Meaning klm can do 100x daily to yyz so long as the slots are available. They can even go as far as starting up a domestic base in yyz, which would ...

Re: Air Canada Rouge to Begin Toronto Direct to Honolulu

http://www.newswire.ca/en/story/1361925/air-canada-rouge-expands-to-hawaii I've heard the legroom is bad enough on those 3-4 hour flights. How long is YYZ-HNL?? Plus, the YVR-HNL and YVR-OGG routes will be converted from Mainline to Rouge as well. It seems that the Rouge empire is expanding with no...

Re: Air Canada Pool

I don't know why everybody is arguing on this: fleet projection shows 207 fins in 2015, same number (-/+ 2 or 3) as today. no growth. but anyway... That may be the case, but isn't AC increasing capacity for 2014 with the addition of wide body aircraft? Wouldn't the crew requirements for 5 77Ws & 6 ...

Yeah, smart move, sit back and watch the bloodbath from the sidelines, let the dust settle, preserve your money, and then do something, maybe. Transat and Air Canada low cost carrier gonna duke it out this summer, both are guaranteed to loose money, Transat will run out of coin before Air Canada do...

FAA cat 1 and OCVT test

Dear Fellow AvCanadians, Just a few questions concerning the FAA Cat 1 process. After completing a Cat 1 medical, does the file get evaluated at the local FSDO or does it go straight to the central office in Oklahoma? How long does the process usually take? As well, in order to convert my TC cat 1 i...

Re: F-35 looking more like white elephant

So you claim that the reason the armed forces opted for the F35 was based on the opinions of the experts. C'Mon, you and I know that a large of part of the decision making is purely political and economic. Canadian military history is replete with examples of political interference changing the sta...

Re: F-35 looking more like white elephant

What I don't understand is, how can we possibly patrol the arctic with the F35???? Single engine and less range, or at least that's what they advertise. What is wrong with "patrolling" the arctic with one engine? How many cases have you heard of our CF-18's lose an engine while "patrolling". Less r...

Russian L39 Hedley, just wanted to correct your quote. The L39 is a czech aircraft and not Russian. Though yes, it is widely used as a jet trainer in the Russian air force. How's the interview process working out? Are they interviewing Captains first, then FOs or both at the same time? Will they still be calling in the next week? What kind of experience are they looking for?

Try to find potential students on your own and bring them in while applying for the job. Bingo! Don't forget that the flight school business is continuously looking for new clients. If you show at the door with two students ready to go, your chances of getting in are much better. A great way the pu...

Also can you bid on say the jets at Cargojet after flying the 208 or 1900's?
Was wondering about that too? Do the regional drivers upgrade to the Jets or is it part of a different company?

Air Sprint HR

Just wondering if you guys are still calling for interviews? I applied several ago and was hoping to get a chance, since I live in the Montreal Region. If an applicant has only 1200hrs, does he still qualify for the position?
