Re: RCAF Coming back??!!!!!!! :)
I hope the little turd of a politician, Paul Helyer is rolling in his grave :smt040 I think he's still kicking around and being as much a flake as ever. But what do you expect of a wannabe pilot, who instead became an army private. I think he got a bit of chip on his shoulder early on in his life r...

For external laods, why do they recommend doubling or tripling the external load weight? Or at least that's what I remember being told once.

Re: Stop The Puppy Mills!
So after all these negative comments about flying nowadays on this board, I would really like to know what you guys would recommend to someone, who is really passionate about flying and doesn't want to give up his dream. So far I actually didn't see many positive comments about flying careers on he...

Re: Downwind to base to final
Welcome to the forum Nikcht. You'll see that there is a lot of really good advice coming your way... My two bits... Are you keeping the right distance away from the runway on your downwind leg? Are you starting your turn at the right location? If you are closing in on the runway on your downwind leg...

STC required?
Just wondering... If an aircraft for example has a standard fuel cell (for example Cessna 172N), but for that model/year Cessna offered an optional higher capacity fuel option (eg 1979, it offered a 66 gallon capacity). Will it generally require a STC at this time to move from the standard cell to L...

But my vote for Mr. Ugly aircraft would go to either...
Caproni Stipa OR
the Soviet Bartini Beriev VVA-14 Both of them have some pretty ugly points for me.

Re: Another ridiculist candate???
I guess my upset is... I risked my health for a company to keep a few bucks in their coffer. So no, not getting a pay out was not why I was upset. I would have preferred to have overnighted in Munich, then to know that every germ is being passed from person to person, from customer to staff and then...

You may want to pose your questions in the Maintenance forum section. There are a number of ame types here as well, but you might get a broader number of 'informed' opinions from that forum section. Personally (I'm no ame) I would pick something you like. But I would also figure out where the lack o...

Did a cross pond one last month (Munich-Toronto). There was some sort of delay with the AC aircraft, ended up being delayed for an hour... Wait for it... When we got on board the Captain announced that they had had a problem with the onboard water supply, so no water for coffee, tea or washing your ...

They should be much more fuel efficient then current aircraft engines, when they are in the zone... The zone being something higher then mach. Largely due to the fact their efficiency comes from the high compression achieved due to the speed they are going. Below that they will be a fuel burning pig...

Re: Episode 2 Teaser of Dust Up ~ A Sprayer's Paradise
Just watched it...what a bunch of amateur rednecks! Our local crop-spraying operation is lightyears away from this in terms of professionalism (and they've never had any accidents AFAIK). It does make great TV, though. I'm guessing the producers scoured the country looking for the most interesting ...

Seems like he's got two barons and and the red bird sim. It says he's putting one of the barons in for some glass upgrades.

Just for fyi sake. But I think the Winnipeg gliding club operate a pawnee. Or at least they still list it on their website, if you want more then a general sense of numbers/benefit/limitations.
