Re: Happy Birthday, You're Fired!!
Yes it's a hoax discredited by none other than Boeing themselves. Google it. The outcome you want now may not be the outcome you want later for a whole host of reasons, and may be beyond your reach for a whole bunch more. Your sense of superior family and social privilege over people who decide to ...

Re: Happy Birthday, You're Fired!!
Is it a hoax? All those emails I get about retired pilots dropping like Flys at a relatively young age is enough evidence for me to know what's what and those guys retired at 60! Imagine 65! This job is incredibly unhealthy, especially overseas. Who says I'm unhappy? I love my job, just not enough t...

Re: Happy Birthday, You're Fired!!
Lol, I actually do have a basic understanding of what's happening, for the past 3 years I've been hearing both sides of the story. Were all entitled to our opinions and I still pray that the 200 don't get a dime. For me personally, I know when I turn 60 you won't see me anywhere near an airplane. I'...

Re: Bases announced!!
An email would suffice just fine.Bede wrote: An email was sent out to all FA's and pilots.
I am not sure why some people thought a bomb was dropped. How were they supposed to tell everybody? Once all the details were worked out with no input from the pilot group? Registered mail? This will all work out.

Keep up the good work Gilles, for every one whipline .. There is 10 people who support this fight. Apathy is not cool whipline, you'll thank Gilles in time when you still have a job flying, or whatever it is you do.

Re: Commuting out of YYC?
There are a lot more pilots in YYZ that commute to YYC than in YVR that commute to YYC. So the competition will be stiff as it is seniority based. AC's flights are generally oversold with several standbys to boot, not all but most. As for layovers, there are a lot of senior guys that bid the western...

Personal opinion of course based on observation, but when the TA1 coup got stopped the company stopped negotiating. Now they will accept nothing less than our scope gone...period. There's only one possible reason why they want that and it doesn't take an MBA to connect the dots over the last ten ye...

With all the ramblings and speculation of CCAA going on at Air Canada, I was just curious how many people would leave there current jobs to go there?

old fog ducker, I am not willing to use my tax payer money to incarcerate this individual (as I believe it is unnecesary).. if he is in fact given jail time will you please volunteer a significant portion of the money it will cost to keep him in there?

Re: Pilot charged in Norman Wells death
with all due respect to all involved.. It seems like the family wants him locked up only out of spite. Nothing good will come out of his incarceration.. he will come out a worse man, it will cost the tax payers a lot of money, it will not bring back the deceased and I personally will not feel safer ...
