Re: Ethiopian Airlines: 'No survivors' on crashed Boeing 737 max

I also flew the A320 which for a while had a memory item where if the airplane went into a uncommanded dive you had to shut off 2 air data computers. That’s just as bad or worse than the MCAS issue. Airbus just got lucky. Does that system on the A320 rely on the data from only one AoA sensor? Can’t...

Re: Ethiopian Airlines: 'No survivors' on crashed Boeing 737 max

Spot on BoeingBoy. In both cases the aircraft could have been brought back into trim with manual electric trim and then “stabilizer cutout” used. Basic airmanship followed by a simple memory item would have saved the day. I also flew the A320 which for a while had a memory item where if the airplane...

Re: Liberals finally ending the vax mandate for travel

Air Canada just announced the return of unvaccinated employees. Didn't specify pilots, but I see no reason why they wouldn't be included.

Re: Liberals finally ending the vax mandate for travel

Anyone who still thinks the vaccine mandates at this point was a good idea is a full on retard. These supporters are the same cucks who voted Trudeau. @#$! you and eat shit! You Sir, are an angry little man. Have you considered Prozac or Zoloft? I was vaccinated for two reasons. One, the greater go...

Speaking at the same press conference, Transport Minister Omar Alghabra stressed that by the fall, there will be a vaccine requirement for all transportation workers as well. “No later than the end of October, the government of Canada will require employees in the federally regulated air, rail and ...

Wow your radio licence fear-mongering is pretty funny.

Scuttlebutt is that this involved an incapacitated pilot.

Re: No pilot recalls until Spring 2023???

That is the official company forecast directly from the VP or Flight Ops as of this week.

He hopes they can recall earlier, but they are not forecasting 75% of 2019 levels until spring 2023 and that’s the trigger for recall.

We are currently 1100 pilots over staffed.

Re: Air Canada Hires Influencers Promoting Travel Amid Non-Essential travel Ban

You are uniquely dense. Would you give up 2.5% of your lifetime’s eligible travel time to keep your grandmother from developing cancer and dying? I’m guessing no. You don’t seem that selfless. So, explain to me how me giving up travelling will save my grandmother (or anyone else) from dying from Co...

At the risk of being pedantic, if you don't like the current crop of politicians, you are able to vote for those who you think will do a better job at election time. I don't care what you think, any more than you care what I think. Yup, this pandemic has proven to me that we are most definitely not...

All caused mortality in the UK. Since June it has been pretty stable.
