Re: Federal Election — aircraft use

Wow, some touchy people in here!

I read the query as beiing more out of interest, along the lines of: "do regular crews bid 'election special' for a three day pairing," rather than: " is pilot X going to be staying in room y at the CY__ Holiday Inn on Sunday October 17th?"

Re: Interim bid out

Can someone please explain this for those of us not in the know?

Is WB FO a lousy job? Or are you at the botl, and have a crappy schedule? Why would it be so bad on flat pay? Four years from now you and your peers will go to formula, and everyone's equal again, no?

Re: Season end date Conair/ Airspray

I thought about it a fair bit, and I'm sure that you could make a decent argument to most Profs or TAs that you've got a career to take care of early in the season, and could you work around that. Might require a bit of extra work on your behalf to get stuff done early, though.
Good Luck!

Re: Season end date Conair/ Airspray

Standard contracts are ~ 120 days. I believe that Conair has some 100 day-ers. You might get some conflicts in March/April with spring training requirements and the push towards exams and term papers, et.. at Uni. But you would probably be able to make the first week in September for skool start..

Fentanyl, and Carfentanyl? I'm not much of a 'Hang 'em High' person, but given the damage inflicted to families, first responders, and my tax dollars by the purveyors of those drugs, I'd be OK with giving them all a decent shot of their own wares....for quality control, you understand!

Wondering how big the bond will be for private jet medevac pilots. And how quickly said pilots will leave again anyway... Not really a concern...my understanding is that you can’t run jets off short gravel while you’re operating under CARS 70-whatever. So there won’t be any private jet medevacs unl...

Conair is; Airspray is not; Sask. Gov’t I assume is; Manitoba was, but it’s now under the Airspray umbrella; Ontario, Quebec and Nfld are, dunno about the rest.

Well, I've never carried fuel in the floats on a 172/180/185, but I have carried it in an Otter, and seen it done on the Beav, and I've carried a variety of boats and canoes on 185s and Otters...Balance the load out laterally, and place it in the centre compartments, and you'll be good.
