Re: What’s the over and under this dude keeps his job
So either the sarcasm wasn’t obvious to the above poster. Or they’re deliberately attempting to make it look like I meant that. I won’t fault you if it was over your head but if it’s the latter, that’s pretty pathetic. I won’t quote the poster. If you did what you did in error, this is your opportun...

Re: What’s the over and under this dude keeps his job
I am opposed to ruining someone's career based on second hand information. I am opposed to attempting to cancel someone because you disagree with their opinion. Being offended by someone's opinion does not give you the right to attempt to ruin that person's career or life. I don’t recall you defend...

Re: What’s the over and under this dude keeps his job
Legally, I doubt he’s got a leg to stand on. He was on probation and there was enough hate speech on his social media, coupled with wearing a company uniform. That being said, if you were at the rally, you support HAMAS. Plain and simple. You didn’t march last week. Or last month. You marched after...

Re: What’s the over and under this dude keeps his job
Yes, because standing in solidarity with your colleagues for a better contract is in the same category as showing your support for HAMAS, an internationally recognized terror group who is responsible for countless atrocities, the most recent being this past weekend? Asking for a good CA and advocat...

Re: What’s the over and under this dude keeps his job
It's a myth that a probationary period is for anything other than avoiding severance pay if terminated. And if social media posts making the company look bad was considered a valid fireable offense half of the company's pilots would have been fired after the ALPA social media protest last month. Ye...

Re: What’s the over and under this dude keeps his job
Well the general public have already called for his dismissal. And an MP from BC has personally written Rousseau to call for his immediate termination.
Are you gonna climb into the front of the Dreamliner and take a trip to Tel Aviv with him? I sure wouldn’t.

Re: Air Transat Ascension Academy pathway program
[/b] They have to keep diversifying the hiring pool. They will have to find a way to keep attracting and retaining higher time pilots. At some point when growth target is reached you're mostly dealing with retirements, I would expect we have enough experience in house by then. Is there a list of re...

Re: BEWARE $30,000 BOND FOR 3 YRS
I flew for TS for 5 years and made the switch to AC. I understand, from a business point of view, why they bond pilots. Is it wrong ? Yes. But I understand why the management does it. Either way there's a reason why pilots leave for AC; because of job stability, flexibility, money and prestige. No ...

Re: BEWARE $30,000 BOND FOR 3 YRS
I flew for TS for 5 years and made the switch to AC. Well that depends on what criteria you are using. If a “better” career means more money, then AC is the choice. But if your bank account is priority number one, then AC is way down the list too. Go overseas or choose a different career altogether...

Re: New Flair Staff Travel
When booking a Flair flight on myID can you use the locator to check in on the Flair app? Or do you need to get a pass from the check in counter? Locator didn’t work for me. They gave me a boarding pass at the counter. Thanks, I wonder if they'll resolve that part to be able to check in by yourself...

Re: Sleeping aids
As mentioned above, your best option is a healthy diet and exercise. Time zone changes can make sleep difficult to impossible though. And those 5 am check-ins mean trying to go to sleep at 8 pm which is equally as challenging. Never abuse a sleeping aid. But the answer you may be looking for is zopi...

Re: Is Onex sniffing around?
Question .. why is Transat’s debt such a concern to people on this forum? I’m not disputing that it’s an issue and it obviously needs to be addressed, but AC has a $16 billion dollar debt that doesn’t seem to bother anyone. I’m looking for informed answers, not snarky remarks fyi. Good question. I ...
