Re: ADB renewal timeline ?

Hearing that eventually the paper ADB will be gonzo, replaced with an electronic version.

Re: Negotiations

Rudder, in your opinion, what is AC/Jazz management's end goal by holding out on wage increases to attract/keep pilot's ? Is the current bleeding of staff, a management plan to purposely "shrink" Jazz down to the 80 tails earlier and repatriate more flying to AC, because their inaction to fixing the...

Re: New Hiring Minimums

Someone likened it to a game of chicken. AC management is the big old angry Moose, who is so used to being the one to win and bulldoze.. Unfortunately the industry and pilot groups are actually a speeding freight train. Watch as more wild, bizarre and foolish tactics are used to manipulate the situ...

Re: Ground School Invites

Totally honest question, with most airlines looking for pilots why would someone pick Flair? Seems like the highest risk option out there besides maybe Jetlines. I'm guessing high risk, high reward. Looks at the first pilots at WS, everybody thought they were idiots and scabs at the time... I remem...

Re: Negotiations

Jazz is probably looking to give just enough to keep pilots on the hook till 2025 (isn't that when they can reduce the size the fleet to 80 tails..hence need for less crews?)

Re: How backed up is hiring???

I'm starting to wonder if the majority of the airline company's in Canada are going to try and wait out the current shortage, hoping that a recession in '23 will buy them time and not have to deal with the wage question.

Re: New hire bids

Wonder if the no-shows looked at the "B" pay scale and figured that and a 2% pay raise is not worth it. It begs the question - how long can you keep offering the lowest starting pay in the 705 sector and expect to attract qualified candidates? If, as you guys are mentioning is really happening then...

Re: DEC Posting

Considering cost of living at any Jazz base these days, is the AC carrot or DEC enough of a draw anymore...wonder how long it will take before the payscale will have to be revisited...Jazz is falling behind other similar 705 shops... Here is a tidbit for you. There are positions other than Pilot wh...

Sure doesn't represent current rampent inflation these days, any chance they will review ? Unlikely until they get everyone back flying. Hard to ask for more when people are paid to sit at home and supply is so high ! The supply is not nearly as high as people might think. That will become very app...

Any word for those of us that had already gone through the hiring process pre-covid? (I had completed everything up to and including the medical) Are we back to starting from zero again? Your guess is as good as mine, I was in the March 30th ground school and I don’t have any more info. Glad I had ...
