I have the best of both worlds really. I have a full time job and I instruct part time. Yes, the paycheque from the flying end just about pays the gas bill at the end of the month. No benefits but its great to be able to fly and not have to pay for the priviledge. I even got a job in Calgary which t...

Was offered a job out there several months ago but my vehicle was rear ended on the way over from Calgary. Its maybe a little unfair to be calling the owner all sorts of names on a public forum and perhaps a little childish and unprofessional too.

I have not started with the school yet and the cost of checkouts has not been mentioned. I want to know how to handle the question when it arises. I do appreciate the feedback though.

If a new Instructor starts with a school and they have not been checked out on all aircraft types is it their responsibility to pay for this or is it normal for the school to pay? Any advice appreciated.

Hi there,
I immigrated out here 7 years ago. Your best bet is to contact the Canadian authorities in Grosvenor Square in London. If I can answer any more questions for you I will.
Cheers,
Brian.

Skywings Okotoks
Yes, I agree, I have been to Okotoks in the past and really regret it.
The staff appear totally lazy and uninterested, the aircraft were rather tatty. Customer service is or at least was totally non existent. This was a few years ago, dont know if things have changed down there.
