Thanks for the advice guys, and I do have one bank loan and some gov loans as well, had interest relief for the gov loans but my income is just a bit to high right now to get it again. I've got a flight scheduled for tomorrow to get back in the saddle, my first in over a year.

need some long term advice

I got my CPL in April of 2004 and so far haven't had much luck finding an aviation job. Mainly because of the student loan payments I have ($600/month) and my TT being 200 hrs (Ramp jobs just can't pay enough). I just got a construction job that pays pretty well and I need some advice as to invest i...

Thanks for the input guys. I've got some more research to do before I make my decision and I'll definitely be paying a visit or two to the school to check things out. And for the record I was talking about the instructor rating. I'd still appreciate any more opinions from people who've been to Sky W...

Sky Wings in Red Deer

I recently went to Sky Wings here at the Red Deer, AB airport to apply for a job. I don't have my inst. rating but I was hoping for dispatch or ramp, but they told me I should get my inst with them, and then they can give me a job. I'm willing to do this if I can come up with the $$, but I'm wonderi...

There's always movement within companies. so the best thing to do is call and e-mail as many places as possible before you go anywhere. You would probably have better luck in the spring but you've gotta do what you've gotta do.

Are you drunk enough to sleep with me yet, or should I order another round?

If I could rearrange the alphabet, I'd put U and I together.

Was your father a parking meter, because you've got fine written all over you.

need some travel tips

Has anyone made the trek to the NWT's? If so I was wondering if someone might have any tips on the best way to get there? Plane, train or automobile.

I've got prescription Ray-Ban Aviatiors, so I can look like Tom Cruise.

They should be coming back in style soon. I saw a rap dude on an Outkast video with 'em.

Apparently they require at least 250 TT. I've only got 200 so I guess I can still apply but my expectations are low.

My Dad's got money but he's Scottish.

How can I convince my parents to give me some money to move up north? My Dad's a world class tight-ass and I need a good presentation to help him feel like I'm more of an investment than a charity. Anybody else ever encounter this problem?

taking off to the great white north

I'm trying to scrape together the cash to go up north and I was wondering if anyone knows it it's worth it to drive up? Or even if you can? I figure selling my car would provide the cash to get me off of PEI, but I would hate screw myself out of a job because I can't get to it.

I have been cold-calling CP's just looking for a job. Some of them are very helpful and polite, although still turning me down. But there are some people who just don't like to be called by 100 pilots they've never met. I hate the idea that a phone call could kill your chances of getting the job, bu...

I work at two gas stations........please help.

I was hoping to get some advice from another pilot that had the bank breathing down their necks before they found their first job. Which is probably everyone but here goes, I want to go up north to look for a job but I have no money to do it. So my question is does anyone know any avenues I might ta...
