Re: BEWARE $30,000 BOND FOR 3 YRS

Training bonds, bringing down Canadian pilot wages for decades. Air Transat management, if you don’t want to loose your junior pilots to other carriers, then pay them a better wage than your competitors starting wage. AT pilots, stop thinking this is your problem to fix. Stop justifying training bon...

Re: Negotiations

lmao. Seen this dream before, the regional tier two group that thinks they’re regional seniority entitles them to a free step into a tier one wide body captain job….. Why would air Canada want to buy Jazz? Why would AC buy back their fleet of old Embs? Having just acquired the 15 options to their 22...

You can have the association donate your dues to the charity of your choice. Just imagine if that movement takes off.........

Re: How to get rid of ACPA?

ACPA has been a smoldering dumpster fire for the last decade. The current MEC has disbanded the ALPA merger group and walked away from the process, don’t believe me, make a phone call or two. Nothing will change until the fall elections. However I always wondered what would happen if a 500 plus memb...

Re: The AC Pilots Private Forum is temporarily unavailable.

wrt the unofficial ACPA forum being shut down, i've always beens a skeptic as to who was running it. anyone putting there name up to run private forum shouldn't be afraid to do so. Who was stopping anyone from obtaining a company seniority list with our names and employee numbers on it and creating ...

Re: Interviews

"There are no new hires for YVR due to more internal base transfer requests than there are vacancies." Are you saying you've seen the unpublished bid results? If not thats pure speculation. "Revised Training plan as of Oct 6th shows all new hires in YYZ." Yes and No. It shows only the first 8 of 51 ...

Re: Interviews

and the answer is, "because pilots keep coming, and Air Canada can continue fill the junior seats with that starting wage". the new hire pay will never change at Air Canada so long as Air Canada can continue to attract and hire pilots to do the job for peanuts. If only the pilots stop coming, and/or...

Re: Jazz losing their C2's

"don't you think some of your fellow pilots benefit from the current system as many of them commute on jazz aircraft?" Commuting is a choice, made by individuals that choose not live where they work. I'd also hazard a guess that there are those at Jazz that commute and travel on mainline airplanes j...

Re: Jazz losing their C2's

With the mainline flight attendants getting the Jazz commuter policy awarded to them in there latest arbitration with regard to their base closures, I imagine you'll soon see everyone with this commuting policy. And I would imaging that the F/A's will fight a whole lot harder to have the Jazz C2's r...

Re: WJ/AC Jumpseat

Cpt Esq, You asked "why does this happen?" Its quite simple, those are the rules set upon us by our management. One jumpseat coupon per number of jumpseats, just as your airline deems it necessary to charge everyone else for a free service. Its obviously that its not line pilots making the rules. Wh...
