Re: Mode C recertification
Right, so that was my issue, ... that Small penguin's AME had made up a rule that the altimeter had to be done at the same time, which was false, and amounted to an AME-made-up rule. Depending on where he is flying, he maybe need never "do" the altimeter. I'm sure that at the time he did that maint...

Re: Calling all "engineers"

Yup I'm an AME and no I do not have the qualifications for the job you posted. I'm happy right where I am thanks. Now Strega you keep using statements like "t...

Re: Worst engine in aviation
There are many different engines in many different applications in my experience on what I have worked on as an AME :) I would say the one engine that I have had the worst time with was the continental TSIO520. It's application would not matter a alot I don't think. Now if we are talkin engines in a...

Re: AME Training

A touch of pilot training to give you an idea of what you are dealing with helps too. Go easy on the...

Re: logbook entries CARS question.
I am a member of a few forums and this has to be the first time I have seen someone attempt to shoot someone down for asking a question. There are no stupid questions, now there are stupid answers which I believe you have a perfect example of here. :smt008 It's OK gaguy some no how to write about it...
