Re: FSS to VFR overstaffing offers
So is the FSS-IFR crosstraining check out any different than off the street-IFR? Have they "streamlined" the course or do the FSS-IFR receive the same training as somone off the street?

Re: FSS to VFR overstaffing offers
Thanks so much for the luck. :D Teeny, tiny rant. Only given three weeks notice to move and start training. Fine...I can handle it. But they only sent the precourse CD in time for me to have ONE week to go through it while preparing my house for sale, getting ready to move...not to mention working a...

Ha ha Nate! But seriously, hoping you're in YWG. :D Thanks for the message, it's nice to hear that you understand the predicament we're in, if we CT. I've got 6 years in the company and I'm hoping to stay with it for the rest of my career. Ugh...still waiting for results though. "I am slowly g...

Your remark about the female FSS was rude although you may think you were being nice or complementing her. She may be gorgeous and I would agree that she is attractive but there was no need for the ...

cow-tippin: Where I work we have both a tower and terminal office. During the night we operate out of the terminal and only have a couple of windows that do not allow us to see approaches to all the runways. Therefore we will ask you to "report airborne" or "report down and off the runway" if anothe...

Over the last 5 years I have worked for an air ambulance in MB and ATS...I can only tell you have how I have seen medevacs handled. Again this is only in MB. When I worked for the AA we didn't distinquish between a priority and non-priority medevac within the company...it went by codes. Keeping in m...
