Re: Pet Peeves
Why are some of the newer cars designed with auto headlight systems that DO NOT ACTIVATE THE REAR LIGHTS ????? There are many bozos out there who think their lights are on (presumably b/c their dash is all lit up) and have NO tail lights. Lots of fun on the 401 following a black SUV at night with n...

Re: Sky Regional Pilot Contract
Heard they're considering hiring foreign pilots because they can't find applicants here... Sorry, couldn't resist... The sad part is, I could actually see this happening. With such piss poor conditions, who in their right mind would work there? I believe their original start up date was for Jan 1st,...

I'm surprised they went that far with their no fault go around policy if the wheels aren't on the ground by the 1000' markers.... Any input? Re: Air Canada pilots call in sick, fatigued, and blind.
I absolutely do not support you. You/ AC have been paying poverty wages for junior pilots for years. Why do we all of a sudden have a problem? Yes I understand the larger issue we have going on here but. You have been bailed out many times, and I have lost family's/ loved ones and much heart ache. W...

Re: Air Transat interview - Potential lay off in the fall???
Can someone explain how the starting peanut salary for flying a 330/310 will work then? What was the original reason for the change? Seriously just very interested.. At least it's a liveable wage, unlike Air Canada and their poverty starting pay.

Re: Air Transat layoff next year
Because working for AC or WJ is the answer... Please.... It's tough enough feeding the family and making ends meet on 50000 G a year, never mind 39000 working for AC. You want disrespect- Two pilots working side by side. One making 100 plus and the other 39000 bucks. Who do you think will get laid o...

Shame on everyone in this messed up company, I have zero respect for the whole group! Watching the upper management of AC in the last decade makes me sick. Not to mention the pilot group excepting the sick poverty pay level for new hires, but I guess that's another topic..... During conversation buy...

I was thinking the exact same thing, why not just PM him instead of having him read a thread and sending you a PM. I'm leaning towards you don't know how the PM thing works, cause even if your doing it out of shear laziness your still doing the same amount of work and creating more work for 727driv...

I'm sorry but reading that sign on the door was funny. How many times do you need to be hung high and dry before learning? It's not fricken rocket science folks. What is with this profession? Work for free (or on a promise), work for peanuts, actually pay to work, work ridiculously long unsafe hours...

Doesn't it always go to the cheapest bidder? Always wanted to include something along the lines of that in a PA.

Re: Costa Rica, Aruba, and Trinidad & Tobago!!!!!
I believe it. WJ was flying to these destinations for Transat, so they know the load factors available. You guys have also started similar routes flown previously for Transat, so why not these? Perhaps Transat is competing with using Canjet till this battle is won, if it ever is? The 737 must be the...

Okay well I know how messed up this industry is, but man does it burn me when I hear this. It must belong with this big headed ego I see everyone walking around with, all while and for the most part, a wage that barely keeps a roof over our families head. So news is starting to flow about how a part...

Well how funny and sad is this. Driving down Fasken drive the other day, heading home from work. I stopped in the old Zoom office parking lot, to finally see what the little printed paper XPO signs said that were taped on the front doors. And maybe see if that mouse of a chief pilot of Zoom was stil...

Sooo let me get this straight, Everyone can honestly say they have never accidentally fallen asleep? Even the little micro sleeps where yours eyes are open but your brain is in sleep mode. I know how the "die hard" (get the job done) type will answer the question. Usually the management type. But re...

Play "name that tune" on 123.45. I haven't started it before but I'm definitely a contestant! Usually airs east bound (daytime) over the Northern Atlantic. You usually only get a second or two of the song unless it's a toughy... Other then that, reading and "usually" enjoying the company of the crew...
