just curious as to where one might travel to, to rent a plane for dirt cheap and build some hours. was thinking vietnam or cambodia...maybe florida?

Thanks I have only heard good things about them ,now wondering how user friendly they are.

I dont use flaps in xw ,as the airspeed decreases the drift increases also flaps reduce rudder effectivness and the airplane feels more bouncy in gusty conditions.I just fly the normal approach speed for the 172 [65K, if gusty a little faster] and a little higher than normal, for the rate of descent...

Why did the Cptn engaged the AP when there was something wrong with his ASI knowing that the AP gets its info from it?

Can't attitude and power settings be used to determine performance?
