Re: One list

Never in my lifetime of flying would I ever think WJ pilots would want to sewer their fellow Encore pilots, I expected this from company, but now the WJ pilots who are saying NO are most definitely not going to be respected by Encore pilots, their partners, anyone who has any values in their body. I...

Re: Encore hiring 1500 hour Captains now?

I've heard of some pretty good people (with a fair amount of experience) get the PFO from places like Encore/Jazz. I get it, some people just aren't a great fit. Or maybe some just interview poorly. Regardless, this shortage problem can't be that bad if the beggars are still being choosers (and are...

Re: Encore ALPA vote??

The thing about Encore is it has a pool of pilots who may have never had a union experience or airline experience before. Almost all those that have had union experiences before are quite negative about the union, and the ones from say Calm Air are the only ones that seem positive about it. You are ...

Re: WestJet Mainline/Encore Hiring pool

Thanks for all the most recent information on here. Any word on the next Encore class after May? I am just trying to plan some holidays. When I spoke with HR she said to call or email if I had any questions, but got a bit worried on here seeing that someone got left in the pool after his wife bugged...

Re: Air Canada Pool

Wait.. can someone please explain the pool system and how it's possible to be in it for potentially years? Does this mean you are hired and are just waiting for a ground school spot to open up? Does AC makes this clear that this is their intention? How much notice do you get? I am just assuming you ...

Re: PORTER Interview ?

Seems like they have scooped the highest experienced people while the economy is in the doldrums. I was told that even though they are still taking possession on new aircraft they have cut back routes by 30% , not sure how much truth there is to that though. It would have been nice to have gotten a ...

This among the other accidents out of YVR (2 pasco, 1 Orca, 2 navair, 1 NT, 1 Sonic, 1 General Aviation, now 1 CAC) in the last few years have been TERRIBLY hard for anyone and everyone who works or has worked out of YVR. Re: PORTER Interview ?

From the other forums posted on this.. there isn't really much information (even with the search function), is that because it is really quick? How many questions do they ask or how long is the interview? Is there a sim eval, or medical?
Any info would be awesome. Feel free to PM me:)

Re: Incident in YXT

I agree with ei ei owe. Metros are great especially for longer range trips that a 1900 would have to make a fuel stop on. The metro 3's and 23's are great for hauling heavy loads but you are restricted by runway length. If you look up accident reports of the metro from around the world (usually at l...
