Re: College of Pilots?
This is a response to the four vicious and filthy emails I rec'd last evening with reference to my posts on this thread and my point of view. I only wish the four of you had the courage to post those messages here. Your cowardly actions, all posted from hotmail accounts aren't the first confrontatio...

Re: College of Pilots?
Doc; Bang on! TC talks a big line but fades quickly when legitimate complaints are heard. It seems lately that the TC people who have registered on this forum have a lot of advice for the aviation community, yet I do not recall too many of them voicing their opinions and standing up for us when they...

Re: College of Pilots?
Widow; This issue has nothing to do with respecting you or not not. I believe you have earned a position on this site and justifiably so with your efforts, however, you said: Whatever. So I've become one of them. I'm sure TC will be very pleased to learn that I'm on their side now. Oh wait, why woul...

Re: College of Pilots?
Widow; Take a deep breath yourself!! If you and Johnny are so in the know, why are so many people on here confused about what is going on. You tease with your inside knowledge, yet say nothing. Never mind trying to impress the crowd with your contacts, that is just name-dropping. If you have those c...

Re: College of Pilots?
There seems to be a lot of confusion whether this is going to be a college, union, association or whatever. What intrigues me is that this corporation came into effect on April 20/09, eight months ago. Presumably, the directors on the board at incorporation are the "Interim Directors" to get the show...

Looked like they did a great job of securing the cargo on that DC-3 trip.

Here is some news about an event next summer. We plan to fly the same aircraft in it and you are welcome to come alon...

Re: S-92 questions
Mulligan; Very difficult to say at this point whether it was heat related or possible mechanical damage/interference in the gear train. TSB has not related any information concerning the interior condition of the MGB, therefore not much to go on. The photo of the damaged gear teeth would make for so...

Re: S-92 questions
Mulligan; No expert but here is a link to the TSB photos showing the drive pinion in the Main Gear Box. If you scroll down to the bottom you will see from the teeth damage that the tail rotor drive became completely disconnected. This damage is at the Main Gear Box (transmission) end of the drive tr...

Re: Two S-92s "abort flight" in NL, June 18 2009
SeptRepair; Yes, the S92 has the fuzz burners but they are only designed to remove the nuisance sludge and ensure that there is not a real threat size chip on the detector. When the burn pulse is sent through the detector, it will remove the nuisance material but if there is material above a certain...

Re: Why Speculating on Crashes is a Good Thing
Widow; The moderators are the ones who have the power to keep topics within a reasonable border of common sense and it does not take an intimate knowledge of the subject matter to see when wild speculation, and plain nonsense are creeping into threads. Obviously the moderators here are working withi...

Re: Why Speculating on Crashes is a Good Thing
Widow;
Who cares if it happpens elsewhere? Is that justification why it has to happen here all the time?
But trying to argue the point for AvCanada to be something above the fray seems to have gone the way of the dodo bird.
Back to the Enquirer.

Re: Why Speculating on Crashes is a Good Thing
Seems a pretty weak defense for turning AvCanada into the daily version of the Enquirer.
There is nothing wrong with speculation based on knowledge but any informed knowledge seems to have been thwarted by googling and copying of any newspaper article barely related to the circumstance.

Re: Air safety flies under Parliament's radar: CSC past presiden
One would think that they would at least get their facts right as seen from this quote: "The model of helicopter that crashed off the coast of Newfoundland on March 12, killing 17 people, had earlier failed a safety test over its ability to fly with zero oil pressure in the engine. The Canada Safety...

I do not have an idea of what happened to this flight as there is not enough information, so I will defer to your wisdom and expertise.
You are right that you can post whatever you want.

Re: Air France 447 Reported Missing
canwhitewolf; You are the one who brought up American 587, therefore I would have thought that you gave it some consideration before posting. You probably know full well that the vertical stabilizer from 587 was located with the rudder intact and that one of the contributing causes is assumed to be ...

Re: Air France 447 Reported Missing
I think you will find that the rudder is firmly attached to the vertical stabilizer and maybe, just maybe, the speculation should slow down for a bit.
