Best and cheapest idea is to print them from http://www.skyvector.com until you decide to go down there.

Re: Do Canadian citizens require a visa for US flight training?
A visa is only required if you intend on studying for more than 18 hours a week. (DHS Information) TSA approval for GA Flying is only required for initial issue of, the PPL, Multi and Instrument rating. You may enter under the Visa Waiver Program as a visitor to conduct training. That is what the ru...

Re: IFR in the USA
Hey, They have FAA approach charts for about 4 bucks. There are about 6 books that cover the entire US. The Jepps are better and the ones I use. When you buy the express packs the LO charts are included with it not sure about anything else. Almost all the charts are available online at Airnav.com. A...

Re: take off briefing
When briefing a departure during my Instrument Rating in El Cajon, CA. If we were still VMC I'd continue straight ahead, between the two hills and fly into Montgomery Field. Purely because it was easier to fly a straight line, clean the aircraft up, cancel IFR and land, than dealing with flying arou...

Lol no need for names come on...
Visually it's ruining the countryside... I have no problem at all with the Wind Turbines but stick them off shore, the UK isn't short of shoreline lets be honest.

Re: 'UFO' wind turbine crash site sealed off
I have to say something about the people from the Conisholme area. They aren't the brightest sparks in the world. I lived about 20 miles from this site and everyone knows that the UFO they supposedly saw is in fact an Oil Platform Chopper returning to Humberside Airport from the north sea oil/gas ri...

You can use http://www.aviationweather.gov that has everything I think you'd need.
Look under Flight Path Tool for it.

The ETOPS one won't download. ISO's are CD/DVD Image files, which allow you to copy a CD/DVD correctly. It can either be mounted using either a Virtual Drive or Written to a CD using a CD Burning program like Nero.

Re: New JAA Conversion Rules?
I doubt it they are so highly strung they would hardly make it easier to convert. Possibly, make it more difficult who knows. It takes a degree just to work out which route to take to convert, more effort than it's worth (IMHO), with Airlines the way they are here in Europe at the moment.

Hey, does anyone have an Email address for Professional Flight Centre. I tried proifr@proifr.com on Monday last week and as yet I've had no response from them. Are they typically slow at responding or are they just not interested in providing FI training at the moment?
cheers.

Re: Frozen ATPL....WOrth IT???
If you are planning on doing the JAA fATPL don't do the IR in Canada it won't be acceptable to any JAA State for conversion and you will have to complete the Full IR Conversion. Most of it is done in the Sim, GPS are not allowed. The CPL can be done anywhere in the world apparently. If you have done...

I don't know how your Instructors mark things just yet. Yeah, I've got a similar problem with the 30-3G's. Only noticed it on my Instrument Checkride out in Palm Springs when the examiner got rude, until I pointed out I was wearing ANR's to his DC's. He tried mine and loved them. If it's important I turn the Active off until in the cruise now. Learnt a l...

Re: Frozen ATPL....WOrth IT???
I think you will find the fATPL is a JAA program. If you complete the JAA ATPL Ground school and the CPL/IR/ME you get a Frozen ATPL it doesn't matter if you do it modular or integrated. Moncton has a connection with Crapair (Cabair) in the UK to provide Modular and Integrated training in Canada. Un...

I've seen them in use in the UK London City has one, but that place is a bit of an odd place anyway. It's like a High speed turn off leads around and back onto the runway.

Plus it's something that is keeping me sane while looking for a job in Canada. I do kn...
