Dave, in WJ's opinion... which scores more points towards getting hired: PIC on a 704 (+12,500lbs) classed turbo-prop or F/O time on a 705 classed turbo-prop?

Methinks it is just that, an airplane being built under license by another manufacturer. The Do-328 now being built by Antonov as the An-328 is a good recent example, I'm sure there are many more. Same basic aircraft design, maybe slight modification? As for the speeds, I flew an early model -350 a ...

I don't care who you are, the amount of flight time in your log book, or how much local knowledge you you have. Don't bust published approach minimums! Grow some, and go missed. You're not doing anyone any favors by getting in. For those busting minimums repeat after me me. "I am intentionally brea...

How about if the high pressure fuel pump calves in something like a 1900?Maybe I'm totally out of it, but I personally have never heard of any Turbo Prop just fail and be useless from a second to an other, other than running out of gas.

Depends where I'm leaving from and for where... If I'm in a decent spot with the FBO girl's phone number in hand and the weather's questionable... well I might have to sit tight in the name of good PDM. On the other hand, the weather's gotta be pretty terrible before I spend a night in a place like ...

an unpressurized cabin of any kind may or may not evacuate the smoke and/or extinguishing chemicals out of an open window. however a pressurized vessel will fully evacuate said vapour when dumped with no hesitation, but only until inside and outside pressure equalize... then you're back to the may o...

I also have a 10.13X and would not trade it for anything, I should probably invest in some of those gel seal cloth covers this summer as my melon gets clammy and the seals stick to my noodle a bit, but for stand up reliability DC is #1. Customer Service as DC is second to none, I destroyed my origin...

The notch on the 208 was used for clearance around the top cargo door, on the 208B as mentioned, the notch was kept to avoid reengineering a different wing. However, it also serves another purpose on both the 208 and the 208B...the airflow over the little divot on the L/H flap flows in such a way th...

I don't have the option of doing a hands on college program or going to work at an AMO as I fly full time already. However the AMO idea sounds like a decent way to go about it for someone who wants in. My question is, what's the next step after the ICS program is completed - as far as how many hours...

On a similar note, is there an ice strip on Ferguson Lake this year or is the new land strip good enough for the Hawkers? Is that place busy at all or has it slowed down like everything else has seemed to?

Is there a CAR that covers how a pilot should tie his/her shoe laces? ...sure reads as a condescending remark to me Anyways, we all know that the CARs, and TC as a whole are difficult to deal with at times. We are also aware that aviation existed before the advent of the CARs... however in today's ...

I know it’s common practice, that's not my point - nor was it my question. I was looking for anything stating any circumstances when it would not be legal, according to TC. Thanks anyways.
