Re: Thunder Bay airport accident
This was the third time in one day that he pulled off this same “stunt”. There must have been lots of other people who witnessed the first two departures and I am surprised that no one questioned it or reported it. The first two times he had a forestry air attack officer on board. I would be interes...

Re: Thunder Bay airport accident
Did this pilot ever have a reputation for being reckless or taking risks?
I guess the only good thing about this accident is that only the pilot was killed. It could have been a lot worse.

Re: Thunder Bay airport accident
Being an Aero Commander hopefully they check what type of fuel was put in it. The aircraft in question is actually a “Turbo Commander” with Garrett TPE-331 turbine engines. They will run quite well on Avgas or almost anything that is liquid and burns. 5F54B330-5DA0-4A83-BA0E-59FA535220CC.jpeg CBE61...

Aircraft took off 12 (towards the photographer). Left turn out. Fire is on runway 25. Re: Plane crash between Medicine Hat and Moose Jaw
This report call it a AA-5B which is a Grumman Tiger. Earlier reports of a ballistic parachute are probably wrong because all are dead, and the aircraft was totally destroyed.

Re: Career First Officer at AC by design?
This is a typical 12 year pay B777 pay stub. Some B777 FOs are slightly higher because they are on "grandfathered" pay from the previous contract. This year end stub reflects a November YYZ-HKG overtime trip and another OT trip earlier in the year. Those that do a lot of overtime can make a lot more...
