With a few exceptions, I'd wager my right nut that t...

Re: KFC DC-10
So I am curious... How can someone confuse a 727 with a DC-10? I mean the only thing they Share in common is 3 engines (narrow body vs wide body being almost double in size and the distinctive tail on the DC-10 ... Could have been a Falcon too cause that is about as close to a DC-10 as a 27 is. :sh...

Funny that the taxiways were shut down yet there is no Cadors for this, at least I can't find it. Looked like a 10 to me but the vis was pretty shitty. Anyone else find a report on this?

Like Northern Air Charter.Diadem wrote:If you want to fly a King Air in Alberta, look into some of the medevac operations. There are quite a few companies around the province that don't have Contrails requirements, and most of them pay pretty well for experienced pilots.

I fly these king airs and I have to say, um, what?pdw wrote: Just saying it then won't be as noticeable if ice-shapes have negated some of the downward lift-capacity on that thinner wing, as in that case a lot less down-lift back there can hold a nose up just fine

Re: O Captain! My Captain
I love it how there are a few people on here that have balls of steel and would always do the right thing, not accept an unsafe situation and not accept less than ideal work conditions. Sitting at the computer it is easy to say we would say this or do that and tell employers to stuff it. I think (my...

Re: North Wright Air
Right now 3 make that. To make that it depends how motivated you are, The salary stops at 75 K, however on top of the salary you make mileage bringing it up. Hence why I say potentially, if you rather turn down trips and not fly you won't make that. You wanna work while your at work you will. This ...

It’s human nature to focus on the negative. It makes for a better story. I just wish people would realize that there is an actual community here in Fort McMurray with good things happening. People come here and they are surprised to see that we have a hospital and a library and a YMCA. It’s like al...

Our company scale was ok when I started, in the last 4 months we have implemented a pay scale that will potentially pay a King Air captain 90K, plus full health benefits and a pension plan. Ours get 80G which is nice but I would love to see 90 for our King Air Captains too! What type of flying are ...

Alberta is also 500TT for medevac FO, that said we have been getting type rated guys with experience so I would have to agree it is still very tough for 500 TT guys to get a job at a GOOD operator.
