Re: Air Transat hiring and Groundschool 2015

11 new hires starting next week, more interviews going on. If what we hear from management is true and depending on new aircraft acquisitions, 40 more roughly to be hired.

Re: Cost Index

It is determined by dividing the dollar cost per hour of operating expense of the aircraft, excluding fuel, by the cost of fuel in cents per pound or dollars per kg. the lower the CI the slower the speed for better fuel savings. Re: Poussée au decollage

it may have been scary but yes its normal. Initial thrust reduction is at 1500 feet or 3000 feet. If they had to do a few low altitude level off the change is thrust would have been very noticable. Then when they finally got cleared to a higher flight level they would have set max thrust for the climb

Many pilots have started in other departments at Air Inuit i.e. dispatch, shipping, flight attendant, cargo loader etc. There is a a wait time. Some have gotten on in as...

Re: Your work schedule?

Typical day is 7h00 to 20h00. Log 8 to 9 hours flight time. Do this 7 times a month with a couple other shorter days.

Last year worked 130 days in the year, logged 800 hours.
