It's also not true to say KFC flies exclusively Purolator and Morningstar flies exclusively Fedex. Once your speed gets up over 300kts you typically will start sublimating frost and ice off the wing. At higher flight levels I've heard ice can sublimate at a rate of 1mm per 10 minutes when operating clear of cloud (and this is not accounting for the ram effect heating on the wing...). I'm not sure...
