Lachute Aviation has a Twin Comanche for 245$/hr + instructor. Not very far from Cornwall.

Re: TC's definition of X-Country?

OK, I have no idea where you get this information from, but it is simply not true. TC in the Quebec region DOES NOT require that you land at another airport for you to log XC time. It is simply bullshit. As has been stated previously, there is no definition in the CARs of what cross-country time is....

Re: Bloc d'heures sur Tri-Pacer

Salut Rudder Bug!

Re: The personal log book thing.

Actually I just realized my argument had already been made in the other thread so... disregard. Nonetheless, coming back to your argument about being able to prove recency, paragraph 2 of 401.08 does state IMO that each flight counting towards said requency has to be logged in a personal log book. S...

Re: The personal log book thing.

Hey Cat, First let me say that I usually read your post with a lot of interest, seeing as you have proved to be someone with a considerable capacity for critical thinking, which is something I have a lot of respect for. That being said, I must admit I myself was under the impression that it was a re...

Hey Diver Driver, quite a thread you got started here. First of all, let me start by saying I think it's great you got everybody together to discuss the issue of pilot compensation at your DZ. And also that you decided to share the results of this discussion with you fellow avcanadians. Ultimately, ...

Re: Make Money For your Citation Ground School

I am involved in a business of the sort, with some very competent people. We also offer LMS hosting services.

I don't develop the courses myself being that I am relatively new to the world of aviation but I might very well be able to help you out.

PM me for more info.

That does sound verrry tempting swordfish. Much better than Barrie or Collingwood.

You seem to talk from experience. Are you currently employed in Sweden? How did you end up there?

Re: Multi Ifr within the commercial training

it isn't exactly easy due to the number of PIC cross country hours you also need (can't remember the number off hand, I think its like 40 or 50) and the fact you can't double dip any of your IFR hours as cross country. The experience requirement for the IFR rating is 50 hours PIC X-Country. Althoug...

Re: Multi Ifr within the commercial training

I also think your instructor is wrong. I myself have recently completed my PPL (late November) and followed on with the night rating within my CPL (got a new PTR for this purpose). Having completed night, I've started IFR and will then proceed with Multi WITHIN my CPL. I was not aware of the instruc...

Hey dude. I have no definite answer but I can tell you that I've been wondering about the very same thing. I'll attempt an answer nonetheless: I bet it's just the same as any other type of employment, and you need a work visa, and therefore you probably need to be sponsored by an employer who has de...

Fiberlys,
