Re: Air Partners C560 Captain ad
3000 hrs for the 560XL is not realistic. I happen to have been lucky enough to have gone from a turboprop to skipper on the 560XL with 3000 hrs and got signed off with 100 hrs on type. It's a straight wing jet, and fairly forgiving as far as medium size jets go. And although I no longer fly the XL ...
Hate to bust your bubble Highflyer188 , and Lost Lake , however, the city actually made over one million in profit last year even with all their effort to close it. NONE of your taxpaying dollars has gone into the airport to keep it open but instead seems like it was spent to close i...

Re: Edmonton City Centre Airport
Hope you don't mind the bill then for site remediation, contaminated soil, etc etc etc. Mandel's construction company will love your vote though.
That was a pretty narrow minded statement. Perhaps you should read the environmental report done by Alberta Environment on the airport before maki...

Re: Edmonton City Centre Airport
Unfortunately, I must agree with aviator2010. I have been associated in one way or another to the "Muni" for all of my 48 years and I hate to see such history disappear. The reality is, who is going to pay the millions of dollars per year it takes to operate the airport never mind the cost of future...

Re: AirSprint F/O Position
I certainly have to give a company credit for providing the information regarding the current situation regarding their Employment Ads.
That shows honesty and commitment to their current and prospective employees. That is so few and far between in this industry.
Kudos to AirSprint Inc.

Re: So... Whats Your Price
Dear Mr Minimums, Management is not all the cream cheese you may think it to be. At least not for me. I fly over 500 hrs a year and still schedule the aircraft, plan trip logistics, maintenance, crew, training, wash airplanes inside and out and occasionally sweep the hangar floor. Oh yes...weekends t...

Re: So... Whats Your Price
I stand corrected. It is very nice to see that I am out in left field with my "starting" wage. I guess I am a little out of touch as I have not been in the right seat for 20+ years. Our co-pilots start at 75K. But I must ask one question...If my starting wage is so low, why are there so many pilots ...

Re: So... Whats Your Price
Minimum $56K per year to start. Company covers training costs. (no bond required if company hires right person) Salary / performance review upon each anniversary. Health benefits, Expenses and per diems Anything less than that would be an insult to a professional pilot with the qualifications they a...

Re: Clean Harbors corporate pilot gig?
The person that runs the aviation department is a first rate guy to work with and a first rate pilot. He has probably forgotten more about aviation than most people will ever learn. If you get in, you will be treated with respect and you will learn much to take with you everywhere your career takes ...

Re: Air Partners
A pilot from AP was saying that they have been on a wage freeze for over two years plus all the rest of the "new and improved" bond requirements, on-call 24/7, they decide your days off-not you, etc etc... No wonder they cant get their own pilots to apply to fly the XL or the KA. To top it off, the ...

Re: Newhires FYI
A couple questions I have for you regarding your first year. What kind of schedule did you have and how many days off per month did you get. Are you required to do any on "call duty"? If you were on Reserve were you off the hook after the morning phone call from flt ops or on reserve for the 24 hr p...

Morgan Air / Air Partners
Just heard from a maintenance guy at Morgan Air/Air Partners that the company may be in some serious financial difficulty. He told me that no one will be getting the raises that were promised. He said the new manager says that employees better be for the big picture or go home. I guess there is no p...
