Re: Pilots drinking within 8 hours of departure?

Years ago, my company fired a pilot who had broken the 8 hour rule. Rumor had it that he fought back, but was unsuccessful because he operated first, and was THEN caught later. Apparently if he had admitted to having a "problem" prior to operating, then he would still have a job there. That must hav...

Pilots drinking within 8 hours of departure?

Far from BS my friend. True story indeed. Not sure why you chose to jump on it as a made up post and don't understand what benefit it would make anyone from making up this type of thread either.

References from WJ

I left WJ a few months ago for a job that was waiting for me.
I have since left that job and have an interview with a new company, but have heard that WJ will not give references, whether good or bad, for former employees, other than telling stating their length of employment. Is this true?

Re: Is this how we treat people?

First, let me say this is the first time I have ever been happy that a topic has been so sidetracked. This thread started out as nothing more than an attention getter filled with worthless heresay information similar to a grade school rumor mill. Someone wanted to be the popular person with exciting...

Re: Urban Legend? The Twelve o'clock knock...

Where the FLIGHT ATTENDANTS conducted the door to door check? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHilarious This is better referred to as the midnight knock, and although I am sure there has been a flight attendant or two who do that, they are HIGHLY outnumbered by pilots. Usually they have "run out ...
