Re: First Air Crash Resolute Bay August 20 2011
I completely agree that sensitivity in a tough crisis such as this demands a heavy touch of class and tact. I do want to ask however: Today I was sitting around the airport, having a casual discussion with the other pilots with regards to this tragic event. CFIT quickly entered the conversation. Doe...

Thanks for your replies guys/gals! I really do appreciate your help. I have a foreign CPL and Instrument rating, which I am converting to the local ones here in Canada. Since my licence is issued from an ICAO contracting state, (South Africa), I still need to pass the full CPL theory exam, however a...

Re: Air Law for CPL exam
I sure hope so. Its just this questions and answers book thats giving me about 20 or so questions from 704. It doesn't list anything for law on Part VII Subpart 4, Commuter Ops. However the CPL Answer guide by Aviation Publishers includes questions ...

Re: ATC encounters
A British Airways 757 and a USAF C-5 Galaxy were flying in the same aerospace.
The cocky C-5 pilot, in an attempt to belittle the airliner's crew, keyed his mike and in a macho voice said: "Speedbird 309, what's your gross?"
BA Captain replied: "A little under 200 000 pounds a year, whats yours?"
