Re: Should there be a "Rate My Flight Instructor". com website?

Hmmmmmm…… A Grade 1 student rating a class room teacher. What could possible go wrong...?

Others have mentioned the pitfalls; I won't reiterate.

Ever read those "Testimonials" on the various hotel booking sites? What's one person's stay in hell is another person's week in paradise.

I'll see if I get a reply.

Saint John NB I'm thinking warm, moist air over cold Bay of Fundy. "The most conspicuous weather condition produced by the Bay is fog. Thick, damp, murky fog that can chum and wisp across the shores to permeate the lands and forests for miles. The fog is formed when warm, moist air moves off the lan...

AirCanuck: not to worry. I wouldn't even mention the civilian log book. You show up with a valid ATPL and your military logbook and nobody is going to worry about the civilian time... (And I sympathize about your record keeping complaint: I was never noted for my penmanship...)

A low cloud deck does reflect sound. While living in Quispamis NB, on a night with low cloud cover, you routinely heard the guns firing into the Gagetown training area. (And before anybody asks: I was a FAC, so I know a "whomp" when I hear a "whomp"...) :D

When I was in the military, we had the luxury of being able to have the students undergo mass briefings on such things as circuits, clearhood exercises, instrument work, navigation, formation, etc. Those were long briefings. Subsequent pre-flight briefings were exactly that: brief. The student was n...
