Re: Flying hungover or not waiting the manditory 8 hours after.

Re: Review of Labour Standards in the Canada Labour Code
Thanks for the post Widow, I'll make a submission. Lots of bitching and complaining about companies here on AvCanada but hardly any views and replies to this post - a good example of why this great "democracy" of Canada is no longer a democracy. How can we make change when we complain amongst oursel...

Re: Widow Coming to Ottawa to "Fight" for Aviation Safety
Glad to see you are doing this Widow as it is in the spirit of helping all of us and our families. A big concern I have is the ability of companies to compromise safety while operating within the CARs, such as: PILOT FATIGUE - the ridiculous 14 hour duty day, and the ability to extend it. - check in...

Re: Globe&Mail: Lives Could Have Already Been Saved
Another thing on the West Coast that no one really talks about is how big the swells are out there even at 20 to 25 knots - take a ride on the ferry when its blowing 25 and ask yourself if you think you could land and stay upright in those swells out in the open Straight in a Beaver or Otter with a ...

Re: Globe&Mail: Lives Could Have Already Been Saved
Offset, My feelings exactly. Get rid of SPECIAL FOR DEPARTURES. What is the point? I have been in the situation where the weather report and the tower is calling less than 1 mile in some kind of bad weather on the airport but I could see for miles on the river in YVR and the weather was 6 miles plus...

Re: Pacific Coastal lashes out - today's Globe and Mail
Pasco never pushed its pilots to fly in bad weather from what I've seen and and I can't imagine that has changed. You go to work and when you said no that was that. That being said however when you are in Bella Bella as an example with a couple of Shorts worth of sports fishermen from Vancouver to b...
