Re: Max Engine question

But now we have a Catch 22. The airplane is not flying so now it is really a fuel saver. The public is educated and even an MCAS fix will still leave doubts in peoples minds. Another accident after the fix will probably kill off the airplane anyways. This should be interesting to see what happens wi...

Max Engine question

If one of the biggest issues the 737 8Max is the larger engine then is it not possible just to remove the problem sized engine and replace it with the standard engine off a regular 800? My guess the MCAS system would not be needed then and this would get consumer confidence back and at least the air...

I first applied at TC when I was 19 as they claimed they were Nationwide short of Inspectors. I applied almost every year after that. I am now 60 and looking forward to the call from them.

Re: New duty regs are out

It will just take an accident or another SFO incident and Trump will ban all Canadian Airlines flying into the States. Ban will be enforced until proper crew rest rules have been implemented.

Northwestern Air

Can anyone offer some info on what the operation is like. Do they have a crew house for the rotational crews? Crew vehicle? What is the schedule like? etc.... The usual stuff.

If you freeze it at 7:00 and go full screen it looks like 30 to 40 degree's nose down and almost a 90 degree bank to the right.

Re: AFRICA Calling

Why are people just dying to leave Canada to go to Africa when people in Africa are just dying to get out and come to Canada??? My rule of thumb has aways been never to go someplace where not only do you have to wonder what you can eat but wonder what is going to eat you.

North Korean issues

It is starting to get quite tense. If the US strikes North Korea will we anticipate North American Airspace being shut down much the same as it did on 9-11? My thoughts are the US Military are going to be moving a lot of airplanes and they may want to clear the airspace for them. Thoughts?

They are licensed as a service provider and that person paid for his seat. Unless he was causing problems or he became a flight risk he had no reason to be removed from the airplane......he will sue for assault and he will win and United airlines can go @#$! themselves. I know a fellow Pilot that ha...

Whether you fly a Cessna 150 or a 747, MDA is MDA and keeping a close eye on that old altimeter does come in handy.

E190 and Deice truck CYHZ

Now this could have been alot worse had the truck been deicing the tail.

It appears while in the process of deicing an E190 today in Halifax the boom failed and the ended up on the wing. Maybe someone on the forum can add more details.

With such a demand worldwide for 19 seat airplanes I am surprised Pilatus has not jumped in with a twin turbine 19 seater based on the PC12 and call it the PC19.

Re: Faro headsets - anyone tried them?

I bought a FARO G2 ANR and the best part i liked about them was the gel seals are quite thick so I never had any issues with ear rub inside. During the winter I would put a pair of those David Clark cloth covers on and eventually just never took them off as those cloth covers are nice. But lets get ...

Re: Transair Winnipeg Viscount

This airplane used to be parked between 2 hangars on the East ramp at Winnipeg International back in the early 70s. At that time it had been repainted in the the Transair Yellow and Brown livery. As a kid we used to sneak into it via the belly hatch.
