TOM URIE Edmonton
Tom was an Icon in the aviation community in both Alberta and B.C. and is known by many right across Canada. Often called 'The Master' his style of flight training made the most difficult task seem quite easy. He will be missed and I am blessed to have known him and to be his friend. Details will fo...

Not many details out but from what the news has said it appears the aircraft landed on Runway 14 and did a low energy excursion into the grass at the far end.

Re: Max Engine question
But now we have a Catch 22. The airplane is not flying so now it is really a fuel saver. The public is educated and even an MCAS fix will still leave doubts in peoples minds. Another accident after the fix will probably kill off the airplane anyways. This should be interesting to see what happens wi...

Max Engine question
If one of the biggest issues the 737 8Max is the larger engine then is it not possible just to remove the problem sized engine and replace it with the standard engine off a regular 800? My guess the MCAS system would not be needed then and this would get consumer confidence back and at least the air...

I first applied at TC when I was 19 as they claimed they were Nationwide short of Inspectors. I applied almost every year after that. I am now 60 and looking forward to the call from them.

It will just take an accident or another SFO incident and Trump will ban all Canadian Airlines flying into the States. Ban will be enforced until proper crew rest rules have been implemented.

If you freeze it at 7:00 and go full screen it looks like 30 to 40 degree's nose down and almost a 90 degree bank to the right.

Re: AFRICA Calling
Why are people just dying to leave Canada to go to Africa when people in Africa are just dying to get out and come to Canada??? My rule of thumb has aways been never to go someplace where not only do you have to wonder what you can eat but wonder what is going to eat you.

North Korean issues
It is starting to get quite tense. If the US strikes North Korea will we anticipate North American Airspace being shut down much the same as it did on 9-11? My thoughts are the US Military are going to be moving a lot of airplanes and they may want to clear the airspace for them. Thoughts?
