Re: Ontario Flight Colleges/Universities

I am currently located in Montreal and hold a valid PPL license. I was thinking of continuing my flight training in Ontario. My logic is that since you will be paying high amounts for flight training, might as well try and get some extras for the money, i.e bachelor's degree, aviation certificate o...

Re: Smile Aviation

It does not mean a pilot with an EU passport it means a pilot of Euro decent.

Everywhere is not Canada guys.

It means a white guy, I'm sorry to say.

I applied thru Smile for a gig but they are very serious about the 50 YO age limit as well.

Re: Beech 1900 is now single pilot approved

It is over 12500 and you need a type rating should still lock in your ATPL when you get enough time! Where did you read that it won't can you put a link in please. Very interesting. J Excuse my ignorance, but what does being "over 12,500" have to do with anything? It needs a Type Rating because it ...

Re: IRAN recruiting pilots

Ouch! Hello fellow aviators. It has come to our attention that a job opening posted on our website the last few weeks looks to be a scam. The posting referenced an airline in Iran called ATA and after applying, pilots received a detailed email re the Interview Process, including the need to make a b...

So a little off topic but, here goes.

A TSB report from a 2000 PA-31 crash.

I just found it interesting how much more info are in the reports now, much more indepth.

Here is the link to the crash back in 2000.

Melanie Sonnenberg, wife of pilot killed in crash and president of Atlantic Charters, disputes the Transportation Safety Board report. (CBC) So she disputes the findings but has no counter argument. The TSB report is a good read. Hard to read but a good read. Have some Gravol available you might get...

Re: IRAN recruiting pilots

"Inshallah" I guess! I know it is a tough call. I know Iran is accused of supporting unsavory activities, many countries are. So much politics! I would keep my eye on it as a young aviator for a quick way to get into a 320 job. I also wouldn't be surprised to see tax benefits somewhere down the road...
