Re: CanJet Operations Suspended Indefinitely
Actually Spaceshuttle you're mistaken. C6 still has an OC and 4 aircraft. The only thing they don't have anymore is flight crew. But what do you need them for when Air Transat will fly your airplanes for you? That makes me all warm and fuzzy...

Re: Any Type rated 737 Canadian pilots still out there ?
I have a current PPC on the 738 with over 10,000 hours tt and 4000 pic, most of which is on the Boeing. I applied for the Seasonal Captain position that was posted on the Transat website in July, all I got was an automatic email reply acknowledging receipt of my resume. I am Canadian, but not biling...

Re: Foreign Workers in Canada
So what becomes of the pool of resumes of qualified pilots who applied for those positions? Because of all the individuals I know who applied, they got nothing more than an automated email reply acknowledging receipt of their CV's

Re: Foreign Workers in Canada
How many, if any, of those seasonal pilot positions were filled with qualified Canadians before that "deal" fell through with the union in favor of a proposed deal for seasonal foreign pilots for 4 years?

Re: Foreign Workers in Canada
My understanding is that they are sending one of their A330's in exchange...on a dry lease. Sounds equitable....

Foreign Workers in Canada
Word on the street is, Air Transat has signed a deal for (4) 737-800 Wet Leases with Travel Service for 4 years....Interesting considering they're taking over ac from CanJet on dry leases, putting qualified Canadian drivers out of work.

Re: CanJet Making Its Mark
I have to admit I am curious to know where CanJet found 65 NG-rated pilots in Canada? I'm pretty sure they're not leaving Westjet. Sunwing? hmmm.... I never said they were NG rated pilots...hard to believe that CanJet spent all that time and money training 65 pilots isn't? (Insert sarcasm here). An...

.....and BTW, we are hiring, yes creating jobs!!!!......don't think anyone else is hiring right now. Who is it exactly you are hiring ? I know of a couple of people who applied but never heard back ... I hear that all the time "Canjet is hiring" , but never hear of someone getting hired there. When...

Re: Canjet info re: new cba
Just for the record, the CanJet pilot seniority list is currently at 88, with 4 more starting April 6th. That's a far cry from the 46 who were here a year ago when the CBA was ratified. Speaks for itself.
