Thanks for your response. I wonder why they raised the departure minimums, thats getting to be pretty difficult then to get in and out of. Im also surprised
that the gps approach cannot get you lower what with the long
valley towards Trail.

Castlegar CYCG
Hi all, I have family in Castlegar and try to head out there a few times a year. Been having some difficulties doing so in the past few weeks due to cancellations and weather. I understand that minimums are high due terrain, but have seen lots of cancellations even when the weather was forecast to b...

Check Pilot While I appreciate your candor and the openness in your posts as of late, you cannot tell me that the current confusing rules regarding LVOP/RVOP actually contribute in a positive manner to aviation safety. As an airline pilot operating in Canada it amazes me that there can be such diffe...

I have been led to believe that our next agreement will be even better than what we have now. I hope yours will be too. Cheers

Re: Accommodations for Westjet new hirers during training
It will be interesting to see how many of the things you gave up in CCAA will be given back to you in your next contract. I do wish you all the best of luck.
I find it unfathomable that your union accepted and your company expected you to accept no pay for recurrent training.

Re: Accommodations for Westjet new hirers during training
Hi. First time poster-long time lurker. Just wanted to have Tony explain how he is currently being paid for re-current training......so Tony, are you being paid for recurrent SIM training or ART? Just the truth now please, none of your usual drivel. And, if you chose not to live at your base, does y...
