Re: Ice Pilots of NWT Series on History Channel this Fall!

just wasted another hour of my time watching this over-dramatized reality bullshit. i'd rather put hot pins in my eyes then watch these piston pounders put on another "oh my god" moment. Makes the industry look bad.

Re: Interesting findings on Perimeter gear-up March/09

Thats funny, flying by YTH tonight, Perimeter declared an emergency due to gear problems. CYYQ - CYTH 5 pax and 2 Crew and 1200 lbs of fuel. Listening in on the YTH MF, FSS guys were out with a spot light seeing if the gear was down as they made 3 fly-by's. seems to me that this outfit has numerous ...

Do FO's Taxi

hey people

I fly a 705 aircraft and as an fo we don't taxi due to a lock of a tiller. I was always curious if Fo's at WJ (737) or AC (EMB, Boeing or Airbus) have tillers on the right side and taxi. just wondering.

"ladies and gentlemen the capt has informed me that our flight time will be 1hr and 45 mins". I call bullshit, because I do the flight planning and tell the fa the flight time! but i'm JUST the COPILOT!

boils my blood.

Re: Anyone have Experience in a Thorp T-18 ?

i have 300 hrs in a t-18. be very careful with crosswinds, and it's very easy to ground-loop. other than that it's a blast to fly and goes like stink! have fun

Most stable companies

Just wondering with the economy the way it is, what are the two most stable 705 companies in Canada? IMHO i'm thinking Westjet and Calm Air.

Re: wage roll backs

i just got my 1st to 2nd year raise and an additional 4% on top of that. $49/hr isn't bad for a second year f.o! shitty to see that some companies continue treat their employees like sh%t. long live the union!

Re: sioux lookout

I lived in YXL for 3 years with my wife and we had the best time of our lives there. Sioux is awsome if you like fishing and are of the outdoor type. I would move back tomorrow if I could commute. My land-lord there owns half of sioux so send me a pm for contact info.

Re: Ground turboprop aircraft, expert says

The FAA in general and American carriers should provide a more indepth look into how to escape icing conditions. Anyone remember the ATR in Roselawn? the crew left the autopilot on in severe icing with no attempt to escape, the aircraft was at full trim then spun into the ground on autopilot. I fly ...
