Re: Age Factor
Got my CPL at 31, now flying for a major. Yeah, I scrubbed toilets and moved around a lot. But it was all worth it!

Re: The sad truth
To a great group of people flying the line and working the ground there: I hope a healthy severance will ease the season, and--as we said last night-- "to greener pastures and bluer skies." Chins up, you guys!

Offending comment removed by Bandaid I said, "YOU'RE COMING IN LOUD AND IGNORANT!" Kimber, your Cat 1 medical should be all you need. I can't speak for WJA, but AC has its own medical screening during the pre-hire stage that has an audio component (you normally wouldn't have to do one until 55 afte...

Re: Training bond NOT tax deductible !?!
Did anybody actually read the T4044 docs?? You CANNOT deduct a bond as an employment expense, or anything else. If somebody has managed it and it wasn't noticed, it is just that.
Tuition deductions have to be from an accredited educational institution that is authorized to sign off a T2202A.

No offence, but you are seriously deluded if you believe that. There are more Maximum 60 stickers on flight bags than baggage tags.vic777 wrote:Every Air Canada Pilot wants FlyPast60 to be implemented, they just don't want it to come into effect until they themselves turn Sixty.

Re: Mandatory Retirement Repeal Passes 2nd Reading in Parlia
Sounds awfully self-serving don't you think? You're also making some rather pessimistic assumptions that aren't supported by the expert evidence given at the various hearings. Plus what makes you think this will deprive you and your family of a life? What expert evidence? What expert has said that ...

Re: Mandatory Retirement Repeal Passes 2nd Reading in Parlia
My excuse? Simple. I want by 60 what it will now take me to 65 to earn, because I want a LIFE (I actually like my family, and they like me). I want to hear at least ONE of these selfish pr!<ks say, "we won't let this cost a single junior pilot their job." And I'd LOVE to stop hearing this "greater g...

... and all of you can keep pretending that you gave a sh!t about "human rights" before you could profit from this. Who do you think you're fooling? You took from your seniors, and now your robbing your juniors. Calling any of this anything other than pure, selfish greed is the only hyprocrisy here....

Re: Mandatory Retirement Repeal Passes 2nd Reading in Parlia
I will not make Wide Body Captian with Air Canada because of my age. Will you? Not anymore, thanks to the greed of some people already sitting there... all of whom got a lift up from their less self-centred predecessors. If even one new hire gets furloughed (on top of being inevitably held down on ...

Laurent: If you reread your post from a stanger's perspective, you might see the sense of entitlement we all see. I'd be willing to bet that your cover letters reflect that, even if you don't know it. I'm not a pyschiatrist, but your self-pity and anger are easy to read. And if we can read it, so ca...

Absolutely scopiton. YAT, I doubt you and I ever worked together. I'm sure you may be trying (albeit angrily) to defend something you believe in... good on you. I respect you for at least coming out here instead of hiding the place behind deleted posts. If the product is so good, why don't you promo...

Wow. The point that I'm making is that some threads that are FAR worse are allowed to evolve, while some threads about certain places seem to largely disappear. You guys seem just a little touchy about this... why? Threatening people with bans and telling them to move to another country if they don'...

Moderators Deleting Entire Threads on the Employment Forum??
I'd like to know why a recent thread about an Albertan 703/704 company was pulled off the Employment Forum (I won't get specific, but the Mods will know which one)? I did not see any names mentioned negatively, and nothing libelous or slanderous was written. There was certainly nothing that couldn't...

One thing I find that TC might take in account in its recommendations that certification agencies typically don't is pressurization failure.
Does your computer?
But I'll leave at least 24 hours if I can.
