Re: Saskatoon Airline ordered to reinstate dismissed pilot
Roper, Sorry for the confusion, I was talking about the manufacturing companies that had this situation, not WW. Someone earlier mentioned it, I was giving an example of a different company in a different industry that had some similarities. I am not referring to the WW situation. Like I said earlie...

Re: Saskatoon Airline ordered to reinstate dismissed pilot
IFR, in the examples I know of, all the long term employees were happy and did not want the Union. It was the new employees, less than 5 years, that managed to bring it in. They were hoping for better pay and so on. What these kids did not understand was that they were already paid above industry st...

Re: Saskatoon Airline ordered to reinstate dismissed pilot
Educate me. First you have more than half of the crew voting to form a union. Now you have 70% of the crew voting to decertify it. errr, helloe...?? I may be a pilot, but there's definitely something I'm missing here. The problem with a lot of the youth today, as has already been said, they feel en...

Well, it can be free. Ditar....nevermind :roll: . Just playing the devil's advocate here, take it easy. Besides, downloading stuff in such a manner is unlawful, isn't it? Are you suggesting that you condone unlawful activities? :wink: Ever met the bosses at Keystone or Fast Air? :P And Randleman yo...

Re: Have accidents decreased since T.C. mandated PPC's?
Well Cat, I can't say if accidents have decreased, because I havn't been flying that long, and all I know is the PPC system. How was it done before? I personally don't mind the system, but I like i said it's all I know. I'm currently PPC'd on 3 aircraft, and I can't imagine flying more. I think if t...

Vinnie, WS is what it is - not perfect but a good enough gig for the likes of me. Any one of your friends is welcome to go back from whence they came if WS is not meting their expectations. There is no bond and we only expect people who are happy to stay. The money is better than most jobs out ther...

Re: Airport security Goons, {Again}
So speaking of security can anyone explain to me why you would have security as well as baggage screening at an FBO? I was in Boston the other day at Signature and to get to the plane i had to pass thru security who screened my bag and pass thru a metal detector. I know my passengers were not happy...

As has been stated earlier, nothing really does compare directly with either the 12 or the 200/350. The 12 is a fantastic airplane, never flown one, but wouldn't mind. The problem in the charter world is that a lot of businesses and gov't corporations will not fly on one for insurance reasons. So yo...

Does anyone know of a computer based training program, such as a power point presentation, for aircraft systems training? Done some searching with no luck. Looking for BE20 specifically, but others as well.
Thanks

I have not used the mach1, but i did own the L1's, the earlier version. I loved that set and was going to upgrade to the mach1, but I went to panther electronics cat system instead. I wore them in everything from piston single to light jet, worked great. I have not got my new set yet, and have been ...

I was using the Lightspeed earplugs, the first version L1(i think). They worked quite well, they take a little getting used to, and the mike is a little floppy, but I liked them. Pretty much as quiet as the DK's. I sold them to a colleague and ordered the panther electronics c.a.t. system which is t...

If you can get your hands on the emergency procedures, learn the memory items cold before you get there, it will help with the sim sessions. Otherwise you'll be fine FS does a great job and courses are structured in a manner that takes you from knowing nothing to passing a ride. Have fun, I'm jealou...

Probably easy for you to say...maybe sittin up high in the sky with a union job. The reason the current job market is the way it is, is simply a byproduct of those that went before and screwed the owners and a simple equation of supply and demand. Lets see....unemployment or fly a kingair for lousy ...

So Waldo, are you then suggesting putting an end to special vfr and raising vfr minimums in uncontrolled airspace to 3sm vis? Because if they do not make those changes at the same time, your just going to encourage those operators even more to stay vfr, instead of going ifr in their ops. I can't wai...
