Re: F.O.D damage question
We had to tow out one aircraft to get the second one out. One guy was working on it and left a pair of 90 degrees long nose (beefy one) on one of the tire. The plier had black handle and we never saw them. It punctured a brand new tire :( I can think of numerous rock damage on dash8 operated on grav...

Re: Interesting Control problem Issue
The oem rudder trim switch for an aircraft that I was working on was out of production. There was an sb to replace it with a different type of switch... It was done as per the sb and the trim was backward! By the way, there is no need for 2 engineer to do a dual check on control. The guy making the ...

Re: CAR's Exam HELP!!
Buy the latest version of CARS FOR THE AME (7th I think)
Read it a few time... Learn the table of content (most important!!!)
Do all the practice test... But don't try to only learn all the questions..
AND carefully read all the questions when you do your test!
Then pass with 80%++

Re: About Getting an M License...
Right now you seem to be attacking everyone that tell you that you can't be an AME by taking shortcut... Cars are there for a reason... So that everyone can fly safe and not be too worry about aircraft falling off the sky. I didn't wrote them and no one on this forum did. And by the way the way you ...

I know I can do the work as I have taken industrial machinery apart and assembled it. I have done precision work, even more than a plane IMO... This is not about how much precision work you can do... If you screw up building tool ... well you do an other one and thats it. If you screw up aircraft w...

Re: TC AME E Exam study material ( for military )
Yeah sure some ppl will do shitty work on their own aircraft... but it all depend of the person... I am a E licensed guy with a decent mechanics experience (m2 jets). I fell pretty confided that I could do a good job working on my own aircraft. If i were to buy a small aircraft wich I wont because I...

Am I the only one that think it would be easier to put the plane on "owner maintenance" instead of getting an M1 license if he is only gonna work on his own aircraft???

Re: TC AME E Exam study material ( for military )
To get your AME-M after being ame-E you should need 1 years in M1 aircraft experience, do the ICS course(or any approved course), Fill a logbook, pass all exam exept cars. What do you fly?? It might be avail for owner maintenance? Getting your M1 is probly not worth it if you do it only for maintain...

I took a flight with No tv and I never received this E-mail. It was a long flight (4h20). At least I had a book and a magazine. I could not sleep because I was in the last row and the toilet was flushing every 40 seconds or so (why can't ppl wait 4 hours neway?). They should have given a free meal
