Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow

Haha dude you have no idea what you’re talking about. If you quit Jazz, you don’t end up in the OTS pool. You end up in a pool called “OTS but they have Jazz on their resume so we’re blacklisting them” Doubt AC gives a shit unless they try to go from Jazz - elsewhere - AC under 3 months. They care ...

Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow

Except it is different… AC doesn’t own 10% of WestJet or flair or swoop or Pasco ect…. those pilots don’t fly Air Canada passengers, in an airplane that says Air Canada on the side wearing an Air Canada uniform, under a contract with Air Canada. We tried to get a pay raise and our first raise was a...

Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow

The planet where a CDN pilot showed up for his first day at AC with seniority. This countered your point. It’s unlikely for jazz but not impossible. Proves my point even further. Canadian pilots became AC pilots when they merged. AC is not merging with Jazz, it's no different than a pilot coming fr...

Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow

This entire argument is predicated on the assumption that it was AC who didn’t honor the 60% figure. What if it was Jazz who put a stop to it, so they actually had pilots to fly their airplanes? (The more likely scenario.) in that case, why would the pilots have any recourse against AC whatsoever?

Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow

Those pilots at Canadian got their seniority# from their first day at AC? That was a merger between two airlines. You’re asking for seniority at an airline you don’t work at, what planet are you on man? The planet where a CDN pilot showed up for his first day at AC with seniority. This countered yo...

Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow

The seniority number you have is what is assigned to you when you are hired at AC. Pretty simple. Seems to be a lot of people in this thread who don't understand that. Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow

For those of you at jazz wanting AC, what is your plan now? Wait around for some grievance to be settled and collect your monetary restitution? Or are you actively trying to find employment somewhere else that will actually get you into AC?

Re: LOOKING FOR COMPANY TO GET PIC TIME FOR ATPL

Hello, I am an 705 FO based in YWG looking for a company around winnipeg to log my PIC time for my ATPL (on a partial time). Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. How did you get hired at a 705 without an ATPL? With my thousands of hours of king air PIC I’m still waiting f...

AeroMag sucks. 3 frequency changes just to get a spray in YYC, then they ask if you want type 4 on the fuselage. They're a joke.

In order to have seniority somewhere, one must first be employed there.

Re: How long until you hear back from AC?

Training is at max capacity. I get displaced once every pairing because of training (which I'm more than ok with :D). The 'rumblings' of dropping the ATPL requirement are just that. A lot of people say they can see it, I personally don't. Given the problems in additional training requirements and u...

Re: How long until you hear back from AC?

No. I would apply the day you hit the minimum requirements listed on their employment site. I just wouldn't expect to get hired at the minimum. Total experience is an issue right now. AC is reactive and right now they are reacting to Transport's issues with their training record. I understand that ...

Re: Is the ACPA Motto: "We will get'em next time" gone?

I’ve been struggling with understanding “why” the company agreed to this mediation piece. It seemed like things were going as per their playbook and they were getting what they wanted, but then agreed to mediation… why? The only thing I can think of is they played their hand too aggressively and to...
